Stolarz with 12 saves

How is Stolarz viewed in that league. Is he one of the top goalies?

i see your point, but i don't take it as far. Yak has to play w/in a team concept better than he has. it's part of learning how to win. else you get a team of guys happy they got their points and winning becomes secondary.

all that being said, i don't care for how that team is constructed...really could have benefitted by taking landescog instead of RNH.

- isaiah520

Agreed -- the roster structure isn't the best, and certainly, he needs to contribute to an atmosphere of winning hockey.

But that franchise hasn't played winning hockey in a long time.

He didn't score it but that line has some speed to burn. Dane Fox did who was never draft by an NHL team and is free to sign with any team.

Here's a question. Do you feel that Briere, as a Flyer, paid attention to detail at both ends of the ice?
- Flyers_01

I think Briere had physical limitations that hurt him defensively. And I also think at times he was guilty of laxed effort defensively.

I was thinking about baby Schenn today.

If he starts hitting a "normal" shooting percentage he is going to start getting goals in bunches soon. He has been getting some of the best looks from really high percentage areas.

I saw Read pick things up the last few games before he finally got one.

Hoping the gates open for Schenn too.

(And G and Voracek and the rest too).

- Marc D

The thing I like about schenn is he consistently goes into the dirty areas. Once he starts getting a feel of when and where to put the puck he's going to put up some nice numbers. May take a couple years though. Case in point the 2 on 1 last night. He one timed it dead center of the net allowing goalie to make the save. With time hope he learns to put that shot high and to the post so goalie can't mSke the save

I hope so too! It's a shame, he fired that shot back into the Goalie on that 2 on 1.

Schenner probably has far and away the most, and best quality, scoring chances out of any Flyer.

Didn't look up numbers, but he consistently gets 2-4 really nice looks a game. Kind of like a rookie in the MLB that has shown a power stroke in the Minors, but has just been stroking doubles in the gaps during his tenure up in the MLB....those doubles will eventually translate to round trippers once the kid gets more comfortable at the plate.

I think Schenn is gonna put up nice numbers too. Those chances are gonna be converted eventually.

I look forward to seeing him in the World Juniors -- he seems to be focused on refining/improving all aspects of his game, dominating. That is tremendous to see, and I hope he looks awesome on that stage.

It was a simple question that had no bearing on his "physical limitations" unless you are saying that being small is a reason to not pay attention to both ends of the ice?

Basically he didn't like to come back and play defense.

Erie is taking it to London tonight. They just have speed London is struggling to keep up with.

Stolarz pulled ends his night with 38 saves on 42 shots.

They pulled him only looking at the number of goals scored. He was maintaining above a .900% while he was obviously being berated all night.

And Laughton's night is done, he comes out of the box and gets in a fight that had to be stopped since he didn't let the other guy get a punch in at all.

Shortly after another fight happens, these teams meet again tomorrow......That could be good.

Oshawa lost 4 - 0
