Including Talbot. I swear this team just refuses to shoot. its so frustrating to watch

There is psychology in there. If you dont shoot the puck, you cant miss the net.

What ever happened to Heatley. Remember when he first came into the league. One of the most impressive young players I have ever seen.

perhaps its due in part to the fact that he wears a Flava Flav clock around his wrist.

Wow. I didn't know I could get this mad at this team after a victory. Wow.

Still plying his wares in the hockey hotbed known as the Wild.

You like him? He's a UFA after this year.

Yeah. Deep breaths. Hopefully Hartnell will play well. I wasn't in love with Raffl's game last night, but when it comes to stuff like that, I can try my best and believe the coaches saw something different.

But wow. I don't know what the hell McGinn did to get sent down.

Could be wrong but he looks to be declining here over the past 4 years. I just thought it was a little to early for him to start declining like that. I mean when Jagr was his age he was still putting up mamoth numbers.

For all the talk of Flyer fans having "whipping boys", there does always seem to also be a player that's the anti-whipping boy as well (i.e. McGinn). At least it usually goes both ways

I've definitely liked his game for what it's worth though. Maybe they do see him in future plans and want him getting the minutes, as has been speculated, rather than they think he isn't good enough or hasn't worked hard enough to stay up.

Jagr is in a whole different echelon of players, but I agree Heatley seemed to fall off quicker than most.

Yes, Lets give them all a good pat on the back for scoring a whopping 2 goals against a rookie goalie in his first NHL game, and for holding a team without 4 of its top players, a team that was already offensively cahllenged, to only 1 goal.

Cheers. Maybe instead we can call this fetus steps.

That's because forwards peak at around age 26-28.

His last two full seasons haven't been great, but before last year, who put up big numbers playing in Minnesota? He's slowing down at a normal pace.

If you're going to compare everyone to Jagr, they're always going to come up short.

Yes, I can agree Jagr is on another level now, but 6 years ago, you would not have been crazy to compair the 2. I mean he had 4 out a 5 years where he was on pace for 50 goals. And since then 40 40 25 25 25.

Dear god man, who kicked your puppy today? In 2 weeks you will hardly remember any of the games and why they won or lost... The only thing that will matter will be the 2 points gained (and whether or not Talbot has any lingering issues from that hit).
I'm ok that they beat up on the kid in goal, ya know why? It sends a message that we might be down but we aren't out. Don't send your AHL trash out against us and expect to win!

Still only 32. Is he worth a middle of the road offer at the end of the year?

I think the only message we sent was, go ahead and start you back-up against us. We are only going to score 2 goals max against him.

I don't know. I really dont. A part of me says he is done. But another is saying, maybe, just maybe, he can do the same thing for Giroux as jagr did.

If you are in the bottom 5 of the league expect to have back-ups run against you. The way of the world...
But I don't think it was that bad. We'll just agree to disagree...
