If you are going to go down 4-0, do it early in the first so you have plenty of time to make it up.

Typical Doan - screws his team taking a stupid penalty then takes a dive to try and throw the blame onto someone else. With leadership like that, the Yotes will never win the Cup.

Great King win, gaining 2 points on everyone but the Casucks. It was dogfight but they persevered!

Funny to me how Sutter puts King out there for a shot at his hatty. But Williams didnt play the last almost 3mins when he had two goals.

Are you sure? I seem to remember him being out there and getting several pretty good swipes at it.

The only dive I saw was the one Carter took on the Doan penalty. Terrible call, and I don't blame Doan for going ballistic. Carter should've got one too.

Weird game to say the least.

Definitely a weird game. Ref Doan, the second he saw the ref's hand going up he takes the dive when no one touches him hoping to draw the penalty away from him. The Yotes have good players and good coaching, but Doan's lack of leadership hurts them repeatedly.

I dare you to find another guy in the league who could've kept his team together with all BS the Coyotes have dealt with the last 4 years.

He's def a great leader. But I also wonder why he hasnt left for a better team. He def likes being out of the spot light.

In this day and age, it's a rarity to find an athlete stay with one franchise an entire career.

Brown, Nordstrom, any one of most of the NHL team captains. Doan had a lot of help from Gretzky and Tippett, and who knows, if the Yotes had a better team captain, they may have actually won a Cup.

Gretzky was nothing more than a cardboard cutout behind the bench, I like Brownie, but I think it was Quick's goaltending that won the Cup more than Brown's leadership.

I truly believe that had Doan waived his no-trade clause years ago, there would be no team in Phoenix today.

He is well respected in the community, more so than any basketball or baseball player.

The Kings won the Cup as a team, with Brown leading them and doing whatever the team required him to do to get it done. He doesn't need to be the star like Doan, he just makes sure the Kings win.

Man, I need to talk more crap about King before every game.

Mike Richards' goal was a veteran move all the way. Most guys would have taken the shot in close and try to force it in on a rebound.

Great to see them take the game back over in the 3rd after doing what the Kings always do when they have a big lead...

I thought Jim Fox did a great job of mentioning Jeff Carters great play last night. He didn't score a goal, but he was back checking like crazy and making some great passes. One of the Kings goals was a direct result of Carter making a great back check followed by a really good outlet pass.
