Too many giveaways. Serious Q, can Coots hit the broad side of a barn?

As for the 3 on 1 I don't see how you guys are blaming G. Timmonen should've shot off the pass or pushed it to Raffl, not pass it back to G.

Giroux was the worst flyer tonight. Freaking mind boggling

they need a big, speedy winger...i know they are not as slow as they look right now, but they are still slow...speed infusion needed.

He can, as he showed as a rookie when he was a sniper for 3 or 4 straight games. Wish that shot would make a reappearance

speed on the wing would help ... or overall team speed.

they work hard enough, but are sometimes too slow to make anything good come out of it.

NO thanks to him. He had a penalty in the 3rd. Should have had another obvious cross check in the 3rd called against him bc he was late checking his man. A 3-1 he turned into poop. Nothing on the PP

He sucked

you would think if a team is struggling to score the players would shoot everything from everywhere. the coaches have to be telling them this over and over. don't really understand it.
- dillpx183

I don't think it's selfish at all to fire it on a 3 on 1. I see it all the time, we all do, where guys/teams try to pass the puck into the net.

I know Giroux's confidence is probably really down, but man...shoot the puck. It just is the right thing to do.

Simmonds and Timonen looked worse to me...only good thing Simmonds did tonight was screen Talbot on the 2nd goal.

Other then a few shifts where they spent too much time in their own end, the Flyers were very good defensively. A lucky bounce was the only thing that prevented a shutout for Mason. Offensively, still not there yet. PP is abysmal.

Agree with this post. I will say this is the first game this year I actually enjoyed watching, so I'll take that to mean the team is moving in the right direction.

does anyone here seriously think this isn't going OT?

- FlyerGuy

Yes, at this point I feel fairly confident that it's not going to OT. Not 100%, but like, maybe 75 or 80% sure. By tomorrow I should be close to 100.

Timo looked terrible to me ... almost looking like he was unable to skate at times.

Simmer seems to lose the puck almost every time he touches it this year. I can't believe that he'll continue to flub it like he's been doing.

helluva jumping jack on that goal, though.

They just need to get sharper with the puck. Passing is off, bad decision making, trying low percentage plays. I keep saying it like a broken record, go to the net, get the puck to the net.

Simmonds had a nice fight, and in general looks like he's getting a bit better...but he needs to play better. Same with G, Jake, Couts, etc.

I don't think you can really call it a powerplay. Can the Flyers decline a penalty?
