possibly the worst passing team in the league. - FlyerGuy
I have to agree. Been saying for a while now that this team can't seem to make, or receive a pass worth a damn. So many times, even when the pass is on target the receiving player fails to control it and we lose possession. I watch a lot of hockey, and I just don't see other team having these issues so consistently. |

I don't think we've won a fight since Brashear beat up Rob Ray.

Simmonds pretty much wins every fight he is in..
The one time when his cements hands are worth it! |

Let me get this straight. Flacco already bought the wings. So what does Kapaernic have to give up if he loses?

They should plant coburn in front of the other net on the power play. The goals would just fly in. |

I was thinking more Bryz-esque with the deflection and all. Reminded me of last season and the endless cavalcade of bad bounces that always seemed to wind up in our net. |

Ugh. Frustrating.
Need to show a little backbone here, make this a momentary setback, not a killer.

Went off Coburn's shin pad. Not really Mason's fault not that you were saying that., |

well... nothing special in that period. I'm not seeing many positives at all.
finally shoot on a 2 on 1 and look it goes in.
lots of missed passes. they spend a lot of energy chasing the puck and when they do get control of the puck just to give it right back with a bad decision or pass.
when they have control of the puck in the offensive zone, puck stays on the perimeter. and when it seems they have a chance to at least get it on net, they pass up the opportunity.
no name goalie holding his own against us, check.
lead erased by a weird bounce, check. |

Yup, that's what I meant. Last year it seemed everything was bouncing off our d-men, or one of their players, and always seemed to end up in our net.
Timing of that is just brutal too, last minute or so of the period. Is there a team in the NHL that allows more late-period goals than the Flyers? I don't know if that's a stat that anyone keeps, but I'd bet we'd "lead" the league if it was. |

100% disagree.
Simmonds and L Schenn are both struggling big time, but they were among our better players last year. |

clearly he's the problem. top line hasn't scored a goal since the stone age, but if we could just get rid of Simmonds and his favorable contract we'd be in high cotton baby. very astute observation. |
