He's a stay at home defenceman. They take a heckuva long time to develop.

I'm not saying he's eventually going to be a great one, but if that's your plan, you are going to have to have patience with him.

I've actually never played it. My brothers-in-law used to. I used to hack their Ventrillo servers, and I was one time told "Just keep clicking this at pressing 2." That's the extent of my WoW playing.

Right now my demon of choice is Diablo 3 with the fiancee on the X-box. It feels a bit like the old Gauntlet. Although I have to admit for a 2013 game it's using technology about 10 years out of date. I was not impressed with the sub standard graphics. I do like the nostalgia factor and the fact the boy and I can play together.

I ALMOST wanted to play Elder Scrolls Online, but 1) I refuse to pay $15/month for a game that I have to pay for to begin with and 2) No crossover capability.

If only the graphics were better and smoother in Age of Conan.

I totally understand that... I should have started by saying that. I didnt expect him to come in and be the best d-man on the team.. but I also have serious apprehensions. In todays NHL you HAVE to have good foot speed to be a dominant d-man in the NHL. It is practically a requirement if you wish to be in the upper echelon. He really lacks that type of speed. It is not as bad as I was lead to believe by the Leafs fans.. but it isnt next level stuff. Also, he really doesnt have any offensive traits. So what we have right now is a d-man that brings a physical presence, but lacks speed, offensive instincts and presence, and isnt really all that great in his own end.

We gave up a top line winger to get him. That right there increases expectations. I know I need to be patient, but I really dont think he will top out where some believe he will top out. I am pulling for him though... for the sake of the Flyers, and for the sake of my sanity.

You can't blame Lavi or Homer or McCrossin for guys not showing up to camp with their legs and hands not completely thawed out.... they scheduled the workouts, the practices, the preseason tilts... if certain guys are still stuck in preseason form, it becomes a matter of individual preparation.

If it's pointless then why are you involved in it? I didn't blame any of them for guys showing up to camp out of shape. I blamed them for running a lousy camp. And I do agree that blame also needs to fall on players. it goes all around.

I don't think Coburn was soft on the puck there, I think Crosby made a great play. Coburn was about the only Flyers who busted his ass on the play. Not completely absolving Coburn from all blame, but he wasn't the biggest culprit on the play.

Star Wars went free to play. It's a blast. Takes the whole mass effect choose your own destiny in it's stride. Playing for free you'll get smoe limitations but you can figure out what you want to buy...

I tried it. The whole space flight turn, fire, help out, navigate around a planet was too much for me. My boss loves it though.

Besides, I'm more of a fantasy game guy, so Age of Conan's what I've got.
