Good for Berube. Maybe a little anger is good for the team. I would be ashamed at how the team is playing. From the earlier quotes, the players seem to feel sorry for themselves. "We can do better, I know we can..." Quit talking about it, and just do it; sorry Nike. If Berube can stir up some emotion by calling some guys out then so be it. He didn't mention anything outside the locker room, but he did say it with the up tempo practices, and line changes. If Pronger was still playing, and wearing the "C", he would be in all of their faces. Geeze. I guess the old Flyers pride, and passion for playing is really gone. Or is it? We shall see in the next few weeks. Then, I can see some trades happening. I wouldn't want some "feel sorry for myself" players on my team. There are some good players, but very few leaders on the team as far as I can see.

Well if there are leaders on the team. Now would be a good time to step up and lead.

Giroux says we're making the playoffs. Him and voracek are actually going to come out of the tunnel on a float the next game. Very fitting.

Well at this point anything he does will be "better". This team or these players really can't do any worse than they already are. I just hope the "better" means good enough to win.

not disputing any of that really

i just thought your calling him the least intense player in the league was absurd. might not be the most vocal guy but I never see him mailing it in. I realize its a while back but i'll never forget him against the Habs in the second round in 08. the guy was a (frank)ing menace. yapping and chippy and bearded.

Exactly, Kimmo has been a fantastic player in his career but unfortunately at 38 he is a little over the hill for the long haul. Suspect it is a set play when on the pp he stops at the blueling and passes back to center to Giroux to gain the blueline. That play has to go. I makes the wingers stop skating for one and all teams are on it. It is so predictable. Just do what Ryan Murphy does, skate that put right down the circle and set up. Kimmo has lost his confidence to do that and yes his shot is terrible, he should aim for the corners and he might get it on net

timonen listens, as he takes 20 seconds to wait behind his own net during a power play

he's quarterbacked a very good PP unit over his career with the Flyers and previously with Nashville as well before struggling this year. over the last 3 years he has 8 PPG and 46 PPA. pretty damn good

for (frank) sake, he comes out and says they will make the playoffs and people female dog. If he says nothing, people will female dog. Yes, Now its time to step up but what is wrong with him being confident and saying they will make it? .

I just watched the Kimmo interview and the Streit interview and listened to Media members trying make drama changing what Kimmo seems to be taking as a personal challenge to be better and laying it on Streit that Kimmo was pissed at him for taking his spot... we don't need Pronger on the ice protecting our players from the opposing team, we need him in the lockeroom protecting them from our Media.
