Fully agree, It is a rule that helps Junior hockey teams but seems to adversly affect the development of some of their best players.

the junior programs would suffer without the rule imo...far too much talent comes from the OHL and if players could turn pro the moment they were drafted, the majority would.

You need to make it for special cases. I.E. 1st rounders. Start with putting a cap of 1 player per NHL team and go from there.

How are Junior programs any further ahead when a NHL team rushes a guy to the NHL because said player is to go for the OHL? Everyone loses.
