I think it was about the salary cap, and that they didn't feel they could get him the ice time they wanted him to have, more then that he wasn't ready for the NHL.

i'm going to use some of your logic here
paul holmgren is the gm and if he thought laughton was ready he would be on the team
because paul holmgren is the gm and if you knew better than him you'd be the gm and not him

Exactly. If he was ready and they thought it was the best option, there was cap room to make it work.

Flyers have a history of making Ranger backups look like Vezina candidates.

I'm sorry, but the back up goalie joke submission deadline has passed. If you'd been timely, we could've had a hertl trick.

Until he gets lit up like a Christmas tree with high shots and the FB experts go wild on how he's too far back in the crease.

Has a good little chunk about Stolarz and his preseason with the Flyers (primarily his game in London vs the Maple leafs and the Rupert brothers)

That may be so.

Regardless, hopefully, sending him down will inevitably prove to be the right decision.

- 77rams

In terms of his future, I don't think it can be a wrong decision. I don't think that sending him to Juniors is going to be a negative in terms of his development.

Paul Holmgren: "At the end of the day, we thought it was in the best interest for not only Scott, but also the Flyers. He can play a much more expanded role and continue to develop."

I'm aware of that quote. It doesn't state that Laughton is not NHL ready, or isn't capable of playing in the NHL. I wanted them to play Laughton on the Wing for a Season. But the Flyers felt they wanted him at Center, and that they didn't have a spot for him where he could get icetime at Center.

I think he meant if they come out like they did against Toronto...but you probably really knew that.

Ahhha! No that one went right buy me!

What I was really trying to say, was that I hope that they wipe the slate clean and forget about the frustrations to this point, and treat it like the first game of a new Season.
