Rags are without Nash, Callahan, and Hagelin.

Just saw Lundqvist is out as well.

Where's the guy who was projecting that Cam Talbot shuts the Flyers out tonight? I'll put up any amount of $$ against any odds he gives.

If they lose tomorrow night the excuses will be delicious.

Like "they suk at hockey"?
That's my favorite reason.

Would be tough for Talbot to shut the Flyers out tonight, since the game is tomorrow.

I'm sure the Flyers will manage 1.4 goals tomorrow night. I don't foresee a shutout.

That stuff hasnt mattered for 2 years now. Are the rangers on a back to back too? Guaranteed loss for flyers if so

Not sure what excuses they could possibly come up with that haven't already been heard.

Maybe the patented "geez, they have rust after a long lay off" excuse? It's one of my favorites after that old chestnut "first home game after a long road trip is always a bad game".

What Hartnell is supposed to excel at is physical play, getting under the opponents skin, strong on the boards and providing a net presence.

He hasn't been doing that poop consistently for quite a long time now, if at all. Needs to get back to "his game", because when he is not, the negatives are even further exposed. Low hockey IQ, poor skating and bad penalties. I could care less if they trade him at the deadline.

- flyer_nutter

Five more years left on his deal.
You will really be Flyer Nutter by the end of his contract.

The Flyers have a tendency in recent history to lock up "core" players in the offseason preceding their FA status. Hartnell, Giroux, and JvR are some notable ones where a little patience may have helped.

It doesnt matter. Our Captain says we're making the playoffs so I'm really not worried about it.

I agree but is that what's best for the player? Getting 10 mpg with unskilled players who are simply looking to energize the team and not allow a goal. Maybe a little 2nd unit PP time mixed in.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I wish the Flyers would have just waited a year to give Hartnell an extension. They would have then gotten a discount or could have gone with McGinn and saved money.

- PhillySportsGuy

I think we should wait to see what McGinn can do. Mostl likely he's going to crash back down to Earth. And hopefully Hartnell comes back and plays like he is capable of.

You don't think McGinn's going to continue to score on 42% of his shots?
