Cablevision or the Garden City Hotel almost bailed him out of trouble. Milbury was very happy to take shots at Spano. Should do a 30 on 30 on Milbury next.

Pretty hysterical hearing Milbury's version of the parting stories . They should make a real movies abut this and have Paul Giamatti play Spano

To be honest with you Nabokov shouldn't have been resigned...I think he sucks...during the summer they should have traded for a defenseman(Franson) and a goalie ( Hiller, Halak...take your pick)...
- kear20

Correct. Snow should've made Vancouver or LA an offer they wouldn't refuse within reason of course. We could've upped the ante I'd think? Glaring need along with our blue line.

Even if he is torched Friday, come right back with him and see if he can rebound.
- ses111

it depends. if he looks like dipietro then put nabby in and give him another try down the road. if he's horrendous Anders Nil should be getting on the ferry.

They're playing well
We just need a new goalie and a top 4 d man and this team would be good

- Danformo

And a big time right winger for JT so that he can become the true star that we know he is, before he turns 30

Not going to happen....Snow could have gotten a goalie, a defenseman and a power forward during the summer and he didn't want to trade any of his prospects/picks...instead you basically have the same team as last year...this team is not going to make the playoffs unless some changes are made...their record is 3-3-3 by NHL standards but really they are 3-6...
- kear20

Worse, because they only have 2 real wins, with one of them being the shoot out against the Devils. 2 wins in 9 games. Not good enough

It's enough of Regin and PMB and Carkner. Time to bring up 3 BPT players. They can't be worse than these guys.

Yea, didnt have the cap space really but snow attempted to get a goalie. Just because he didnt, doesn't mean he didnt try. I still think the biggest issue more than goaltending is the defense. The forwards don't help matters much either but when half of your defense playing tonight wouldn't crack more than 3 lineups in the NHL you are in serious trouble.

Basically he only needed $17milllion and he might still be the owner...the only thing I disagree was they made Milbury look like he knew what he was doing when he was the GM...I thought he was the worst GM's they've had....
- kear20

Close, second worst... Don Maloney takes the cake.

It's def not good enough. but you have to understand, this is today's nhl. look at the rest of the division. 1-8, 2-6, etc... points are points. I know it's frustrating and the team HAS to do better than this record, BUT they got points in 6 out of 9 games. If they get points in 66% of their games playing this bad defensively, then you take it and run with it. However, if the team wants to make the POs they cannot play like they have. They're getting points when they shouldn't be. I'd feel alot better if we were constantly disappointed in getting only one point, but as this point, we're being thankful we're getting atleast one. Shouldn't be like that.

obviously this 3-3-3 record won't continue on pace like this... but if it were to... going 27-28-27 only gets you 81... no where close to a PO berth... unless the division remains this pathetic...

Our defense is flat out terrible. A bunch of depth players, with one promising player (Hamonic). Amac and Strait were bad enough then our aged goaltender fights the puck all night. This should be Poulins chance to steal a few starts but it won't since Cappy is hung up on playing Nabby to death.
I do think we can get better defensively provided Donovan gets mote icetime. Still, we obviously need at least a top four dman fast.
We missed Grabner's transitional speed tonight

Before anyone jumps... Remember, we started 4-8 last year, including a five game losing streak. We were awful at home as I recall. Trend?

Sign Martinek or bring up De Haan. Carkner and Strait can not get that kind of ice time.
- mighty13duck

Didnt catch the game. Streit was bad? I always loved the guy. Maybe age is catching up with him.
