Well, a couple of things.

1) I will sound like a recording if all I do is harp on their ability to prevent goals. BUT they had terrible goaltending for the first 6-7 games and only then did it even start to turn around. I think the goal prevention is coming around a bit in that regard. However, they have completely lost track of their ability to control shots against in the past week.

2) The Oilers have only scored 2 goals in 3 of the last 4 games and the 3rd goal in the Ottawa game was an empty netter. Their Power Play hasn't clicked for a goal in 4 straight games.

3) They just lost their leading scorer and best offensive player, their 3rd leading goal scorer, and Eberle is playing through a hip problem.

The Oilers need to find ways to score more than they have in recent games.
