I agree entirely. It's at least worth a shot as Arco has earned the right to keep his position. - MaximumBone
I think he have earned to stay with the Oilers but I don't think He is done enough yet to take over Gagner position. |

Yeah, surprisingly, there aren't many trolls in the Leafs thread either.
That's why I don't get the whole troll thing. It makes a troll look so pathetic when they disappear when their favorite target wins.
Oh well, good night Oil fans. - Aetherial

but why cant Gordon just play 4C. all with a ton more minutes and not a true 4c per se.
isn't this the beauty of having more depth? we can roll 4 solid lines...
nuge
arco
gags
Gordon
bottom line is arco will be claimed if we send him down and gags is MUCH better at center than wing |
|
|
|
Yak, yes. RNH has played the toughest minutes of any forward the past two seasons - TheNugeIsHuge
I mean this season. Trust me; I know the stats behind him as well as anyone, and I love him, but the turnovers need to stop. He'll still be getting prime PP time and some on the PK, but it opens the door for that balanced attack we dream of. Most teams can only consistently cover two lines in any given game. So which line do you give leeway? Gagner, Perron, and Hemsky? How about Hall, Arco, and Eberle? No to either of those? Well then we'll just throw two 1st overall picks and JJ at you! |

What a great turnaround. Missed the first half and thank god.
I read that after Hemsky's goal, EDM had 14 of the next 15 chances.
Perron look weirdly slow tonight to anyone? - TheNugeIsHuge

You're getting me wrong; in fact, I'd rather Gordon play on the 4th line! I was merely commenting on the "Gagner can't play wing" remark. |

Nuge and Gagner have earned to be 1C and 2C,if Arco is good then it should be no problem for him to drop to 3C. |

Yes I dont like the idea of guys switching positions Example: Hall, Taylor......Gordon can also be used for PK and PP and also he could be used for important faceoffs in clutch moments....no reason why that cant be done really |

10 assists in 10 games, playing very well against tough competition, playing the PK, limiting scoring chances against, and being great on the dot so far isn't enough to earn him a spot for Gagner to have to fight to take back? |

He doesn't skate well enough for a winger, especially compared to the rest of the Oiler's wingers and his board play isn't quite as suited to a winger as it is to a centre who is usually the second guy to come in on the wall. - DTF69
dude....this post got me hard.

I don't see how this relates, but Paul Coffey followed closely by Doug Weight, Jarret Stoll, and a tie between Hemsky and Eberle. |

Turnovers were a problem tonight, but his 2 apples weren't.
RNH is slowly becoming quite the 2 way player. Although yak shouldn't be playing the minutes he is, yes |

Nope because your talking about player that have come in to play with players like Hall and Eberle and only 10 games to his resume so far,Gagner have show already what He can do and more then 10 games,I like Arco but Gagner and Nudge needs to play 1C and 2C that's the Oil top 2 centers. |

sure.
it's basically going to be 3 scoring lines anyway if we have both gags and arco at center. it doesn't matter really who's where.
as long as arco is put in a position to succeed with solid wingers.
and Gordon isn't a true 4 and gets close to the same minutes he's getting now |

I'd much rather ease Gagner back into the line-up by utilizing Arco as a top-6 C. Then, after Gags has his legs under him again, to watch the two of them (and even Nuge) compete for those spots. Alternatively, just play all three of the lines for similar amounts of time. Say 14-15 each at EV with the 4th line pulling up the leftovers. |

the Big question is going to be,what the Oilers do with Acton, keep him as an extra forward or send him down,I do prefer Oil keep Eager/Jones. |

You can find a way to situationally roll Nuge, Gags, Arco and Gordon as centres. Factoring in special teams, I expect them to each be above 16 minutes a game. |
