What a play by Jagr there. I think he could really make Loktionov look like a hell of a player if they played together.

not trying to throw a punch in, but if a leafs fan wants to talk about anything let them. just dont bring up the devils past cups please, it was 10 years ago and it is an entirely different game now. honestly, none of us (meaning rangers and devils fans) can really say anything to anyone at the moment except for devils fans to rangers fans for that embarrassing excuse of a game the rangers played the other night in jersey. you are all better than that. i remember many of you always saying how msg and rangers fans live in the past of the 94 cup, well if you feel strongly about that don't let yourselves do it. i hate, even as a rangers fan, when people bring up the 94 cup. it was ages ago, this is today. this is why i cant have any kind of hockey debate with devils or rangers fans. all they can ever say is "well we won this cup..." or "well we won this many in this amount of years"...who cares. neither have won a cup since the pre lockout era and the hard nose game was replaced with the high speed goal scoring game. lets all save ourselves a little bit of face and worry about our current teams problems, because thats all we really have right now HAHAH

It where he's most valuable at this point in his career. You get him the puck in the neutral zone and there's a good chance its going to lead to some offensive zone time.

I was thinking the same thing. You can still tell that he's an all-time great with just how smart he is at times. Any other Devil on the team would have dumped it in on that play.

Agreed. He still has the hands, vision and shot. He has just lost a bunch of steps lol. It all depends. Some players will respect his ability and give him that necessary room to be effective, otherwise he has to hope he can stick handle by them. Regardless I was a big supporter of Jagr completely bombing this year, but he is proving wrong so far. Looking like a good signing in the early parts here. Gotta see how long he can go and how DB will use him in the later parts of the season. For Devils fans sake, it would be better if he had the time off during the Olympics, but he will more than likely be in Sochi

When is this Zajac on the point experiment finally going to end?

Can we please not have a forward on the point. We just donèt have anyone good enough to make it a must.

Hmm, looked kind of sloppy there. Other than the one Zajac shift, not much offense generated.

any forward in my opinion. I thought Henrique looked alright there in the small amount I seen last game but I have already changed my mind

I would be willing to try Brunner or Jagr but that's it.

I think what the big thing is none of them seem to be used to how fast the players come at them when they are positioned the way they have to be to play the point.Same thing with getting passes then getting back and staying in a good position seems to be a whole other story.

Jagr is too slow if he got caught on point its an automatic breakaway. If he were to QB the PP he'd have to do it at the half boards.

Very tentative game. Glad the Devils are the road team.

No Jagr isnt the fastest but I think you will find he seems to appear faster with us then with the Bruins. A lot of that I think has to do with the weight he lost to try and address that speed issue. Still a big guy but like 15 lbs lighter.

It would be a risk for sure but Jagr makes very few mistakes with the puck. I don't think he'd be worse than Harrold or Zajac.

He slows the game down like no one else. He might not be fast enough but he can slow that pace right down so I dont think he would have a problem as he is never rushed unlike everyone else on the team. They just dont have the calmness of him.

I would prefer Ryder actually out of everyone. Definitely has one of if not the best shot on the team and teams would have to seriously pay attention to him, giving the forwards a bit more time

Nice teamwork too. Rusty did a great job stationing at the net and screening Bob. And of course Jagr's possession/protection is the key to that one.

Another great play by Jagr. Everyone on the bluejackets thought he was going to the point and leaves ryder wide open.

I dont think his skating and stick handling is strong enough to be on the point but it would be nice to have a shot of equal power and accuracy back there
