SO if he failed, and has failed before, why is he still here. If this were a different GM I would be all for this, but I do not trust Darcy. To be honest i could give a flying *** what the on ice product is this season, just as long as he is not here.
- ImThatGuy

BUt will we bring in a "scouting" Gm like the Jarmo or Nill, whats his name form Pit is supposed to be a cap geek (NO Pun) which at this stage I dont need.

Firing Darcy is unlikely to improve the product on the ice this year. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen.

Doing it 10 games into a season is awkward, and would lead to questions of why not do it last May. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. (I won't quit smoking today because I should have done it yesterday is a dumb excuse).

Leino/Myers/Grigorenko/Lack of solution at Center for 7 years alone is reason enough.

Yep. Plus if you have a new mind coming in, you want them to have as much time as possible to prepare for this draft/trade deadline.

The worst thing in sports...... towards your own team.,..... im 50/50 on like booing chara or lucic ( I wont do it but dont hate that)
- hubie

To me booing is like filing a complaint at a restaurant or for bad services from a business. I dont do either, but I can understand why people do it.

Very true, although for the first time about a month ago I finally for the fist time sent a steak back for being over. I dont think a single chef can cool a mid rare steak in this city. The worst esp after saying you cant get it too rare for me put it on the rare side.

I want a GM that is not afraid to make bold moves, IE Burke is my ideal guy. I think he should be the GM here.

OK... So here are some questions.....
1) If we are rebuilding then what is Talinder doing here?
2) If we are rebuilding why was Vanek not moved for draft choices or prospects?
3) If we are rebuilding why is Miller still here and why was he not traded for ...whatever
4) If we are rebuilding why is Grigorenko in the press box or on the 4th line with a couple of knuckleheads.
5) I can go on with more if you want me to....
My point is Darcy created this mess and he should have no part in fixing it. Yes we knew it would be bad but we also expected a team that would be competitive in games and not look like a very bad college team. Now lets talk about the coach. Who hired him? Now tell me how many people Darcy actually interviewed for that job. Darcy hand picked a coach that he could control and manipulate and a coach who would not make tough demands on him. So before you blast off on fans... double check the facts...... Darcy is dealing the cards to you from the bottom of the deck dude...

I think any team needs some sort of balance of veterans. Aside from that, Tallinder is here to help Myers pull his head out of his ars.

If there is one thing Darcy is good at, its getting the most value for players. I am sure he has an idea in his head of what he wants, and I am sure he will get it come deadline time, at least for vanek.

I would guarantee Darcy looked elsewhere for coaches. Would you want your boss to tell you that they tried to find other people, but then they went with you?

And sorry dude, but the part about the fans is spot on. We all wanted this, and we all want that first pick, but we just dont want to go through it. I am not at all blasting off at the fans, hell I am one of them! I hate this too, but I know it is necessary. I said they would either surprise us all and be great, or be atrocious.

And finally, the sabres brass will let Darcy go after he tanks for us. Lets face it, if the sabres fire him now, and a new GM comes in, he will most likely fire Rolston. If that happens, and the sabres get back to mediocre, its back to the 9-15 picks

I disagree with your Miller reply.... not many teams are looking for goalies at the trade deadline. esp ones who are already contending for a playoff spot
- GzaGenius36

If a contender loses their starter to injury and the sabres are willing to keep some of his cap hit, Regier could come out of a trade smelling like roses....Obviously, he would be lucky and it may not happen, either.

Or you tell the GM to only evaluate the talent and coaching staff, and wait to make his moves until the deadline and offseason.

What bothers me about Rolston is listening to him this morning say he's not concerned about the 1-8-1 start. I wish they would have pursued that one and elaborated more on it. How could he not be concerned?
