Part of me feels incredibly infantile and rude for suggesting this, but if the "Fire Darcy" chants started tomorrow right at the opening faceoff on National TV, with NBC/NBCSN's top crew at the game, I would be amused.

It's going to take this team getting thoroughly embarrassed in order to get any sort of real change going.

I think Peters had a career TOI that game becasue they were feeding him the puck for the entire third period.

I usually scoff at things like this, but this team needs to be thoroughly embarrassed in order to have any chance of a significant change made, both on and off the ice. On the ice speaks for itself with a 1-8-1 record. Now, it needs to happen off the ice. Something on national television tomorrow could be a good start.

That would help, but the Flyers were always an impulsive franchise. The Sabres are not. They are sticking to their guns. It will probably take more than that. I was leaning more towards the Bills in 2009. As much as I hated the billboard, it did eventually work in getting Jauron fired. Why? Because the fans had collectively embarrassed Ralph Wilson at a national level. This sort of thing can be dangerous, and you could end up having a team run by mob rule, but when things get this bad, something out of the ordinary needs to be done. Doing something in front of a national TV audience may help. At this point, it can't hurt.
