His name is Wiggins and hes the best prospect to come out since Lebron. Supposedly the top 3 are can't miss. Best NBA draft in 10 years - Just5
you have to admire their plan....Not unlike the flyers. |

The difference between surgeons and hockey players, is that hockey players' performance is inconsequential in the scheme of things... they don't get paid a ton of money because they hold the balance of life and death in their hands... they're merely entertainers in a society that places way too much value on entertainment.
Actors, musicians and other entertainers are hardly expected to not enjoy the trappings of fame... why the double-standard when it comes to athletes? As long as they show up to work in a reasonably functional state, and their bosses don't have any complaints about their performance, we as fans should be fine with whatever they choose to do with their free time. - Tomahawk
Perfectly said Hawk. I think athletes are held to a double standard due to one thing. Fans. Short for fanatics. An actor or singer makes a mistake, no problem just gets edited. An athlete makes a mistake and he can be a goat for life. Buckner, Bill. |

Its real simple. Become a freeloader like me. Don't go to the games (unless you get a free ticket), don't buy the overpriced merchandise, etc. Just watch it at home and win or lose, understand it basically boils down to the above. |

I don't think not going to the games, or buying the merchandise makes you a freeloader. |

Maybe, but you can't fault the thinking because that is the only shot you have in the NBA. Actually in most sports that's the winning philosophy. |

The Sixers, unlike other Philly teams, have a pretty good track record with the lottery drawings.
In their last 14 lottery selections, they've never dropped down, and have bettered their position 7 times. |

If that's the case, probability says they're due for some disappointment soon. |

I don't like basketball so honestly I have no clue. I just hope they do well because they are a philly team |

I'd be more worried Starbucks being out of Hazelnut than the Sixers landing Wiggins. I could care less. But I don't like basketball so that's just me.
And plus, the Sixers owner, owns the Devils. So (frank) him. I hope they don't get Wiggins. |

He isnt Lebron, but he has serious elite potential. Parker is a close second. |

Are the 76ers expected to be that bad? Looks like they're middle of the pack standings-wise right now. |

If the Sixers moved out of town, the only thing I'd notice would be a massive amount of focus on the Sixers for about a week, followed by an extra 1-2 minutes of hockey coverage every day. |

Depends. If Barkley can stay healthy, they might surprise. |

The over under for wins was set at 16.5... they play 82 games like the Flyers. |

yes, by about 8 wins.
One "expert" had them at 9 wins.
EDIT: Sorry missed one other team (the Suns) who were at 21... |

Well that's good. It'd suck just to be the 4th or 5th worst team if the top 2 picks are so good. |
