Philly has made plenty of block busters.
Just because trades keep the fans interested doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. - sbroads24
Carter and Richards are probably laughing about being traded every day. |

Philly is a dumb organization that made the wrong moves and destroyed a cup competing team.
That has nothing to do with the Sabres situation, in fact i would say it is the complete opposite of this situation. - ImThatGuy
So if Darcy is so bad. Why do we want or wanted him to make block buster trades? |

I'm starting to believe, with Terry's love of Penn State, by wrong he means Sandusky kind of wrong. |

true, but it would sure spice things up around here
everyone talks about these trade scenarios that never happen (because most of them are BS rumors, but are fun to talk about). It would be really cool if one day one of the rumors or "pipe dreams" actually came true
I want a legit superstar on this team, I am sick of Miller and Vanek being our "Stars"
Oh well I guess that's why we are tanking - rustbelt82
Yea it would be nice to see a major move. But I don't wanna make a huge move that could set us back further |

Maybe Darcy rigged the arena with explosives when they built the things and will detonate when he is fired. But we wont know when he will do it so to save lives they keep him employed. |

I'm starting to think that Darcy has some major poop on TP or something. Its the only scenario that make sense at this point |

Its a double edge sword. We want change on all aspects of the organization. We want trades to show change and that the organization is trying to make the right move, but we do not trust the man in charge to make the correct trades.
Damned if ya do, damned if ya dont kind of thing. |

Pretty much. We are tanking, which 80% of us wanted. But we still are unhappy. It's not a good year |

IMO moving any of Miller, Vanek, Myers, Stafford, Hoff, Ott, and even one of our young defense prospects for a player that has the star potential of a Nail Yakupov would not set us back in the slightest
Blowing our 2014 and 2015 1st round draft pick will set us back |

If the sabres are in the group of people that believe this years top 5 is very weak then maybe trading the 2014 pick for a guy like yakupov isn't such a bad idea.
There's a case to be made that he's better than any forward in the draft. With the odds of drafting 1st overall at just 25%, I'd seriously consider dealing the pick if it meant bringing in someone like Yakupov. |

Don't Let Darcy Trade Vanek or Miller.
My Prediction: Miller walks at end of the year, we trade Vanek for the 26th overall pick and a poopty mid level prospect |

Hoff sure he's 32.
They wouldn't take Myers straight up
Vanek is a deal that has to be made. Probably similar to Pominville return |

It wouldn't even be possible. He's not on the market and there really is nothing we could offer them to make them consider it. Habs are coming off a playoff year and Galchenyuk is poised to be there #1 C for years to come. Anything we offer them would set their organization back to where they were at the end of 2012. |

I am so sick of mid level talent, I want the pick of the litter i.e. Kane, Toews, Crosby, Gino, Getzlaf, Thornton, Sedins, Ovie, Tavares, Staal, etc etc |

I said if they believe the draft to be weak at the top then they might consider it. For all I know their scouts have Nylander or Reinhart pegged as the next great thing. There are plenty of people out there who think this years 1st overall is the weakest in the last few years. If sabres scouting fits into that group... |

Then you should be in favour of what's going on right now. If they keep this up for the next 2-3 years, you may have your wish. |
