not trying to push dozzers buttons at all. I leave that bullpoop to people like you. I just don't think it had the impact people play it out to have had.
- Pie

Only the coaches said it did.

"They might as well sent me over a fruit basket and a bottle of wine," Eakins said. "That was a really great present Mr. Eller laid on us today."

Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien said Eller's comments were "unacceptable" and this situation will certainly serve as a learning experience for him. Teams will take any comments directed at them as bulletin board material, no matter how harmless you wanted them to be perceived.

you have to ask yourself... had Eller not made those comments, Eakins would have been OK with that first period and not reacted? come on. the impact of those comments is being felt now, because Eller--and really, the entire team--looks really, really stupid this morning.

Must be so then. I wonder who gave momentum to Nashville or Winnipeg. Habs shut down after 1 in those games as well.

No. you THINK it had one. That's fine and good. Some of us disagree. Also fine and good. Now, let's just move on with the knowledge that some think one thing, others think another and that's ok.
