so you want to sign an old, soft, concussion-prone player who scored 16 points while playing for Philly last year.

i don't see anything that could go wrong with signing a player of that profile.

it's easy to say the money is there. but who is going to take that risk? this isn't like buying a cash cow. this is starting something from the ground up. but it's nice to see that the door doesn't seem to be slammed shut.

I don't think anyone considers the Olympic stadium as a viable situation as well... so we need someone and the state to be willing to finance a new stadium.

this is a really silly thing to say. investing in sports teams is not like investing in private industry.

I went to the Olympic Statium with my boys a few years ago for an Alouettes game.

It's not a Stadium, it's a (frank)ing dump.

And no one will build a new stadium in Montreal. Not in a near future anyway

pro sports is industry. get a stadium built near the downtown core and it will a success.

just a nice brick, 35,000 seat baseball stadium. lower to middle payroll teams are having success nowadays and will even more with the 2nd wildcard.

and it was a joke.

i wouldn't completely rule it out. but i also wouldn't expect the provincial government to kick in that much, no matter who is in power.
