speaking of Scotch... a buddy of mine invites me out Sat night to a Scotch tasting being hosted by his wife's boss. i love Scotch but i'm a bit skeptical about this whole "wife's boss" thing so i suggest just going to a bar. he says his wife really wants him to go so i figure what the hell, free Scotch right?

oh, it was free Scotch all right. 3 whole ounces of Scotch (6 1/2-ounce shots) over FOUR AND A HALF (frank)ING HOURS. with 18 50-somethings in animal health-care business. one guy brought his dogs and had one of them sitting on his lap the entire time.

i would have preferred volunteering at a soup kitchen.

Wow!! Well done Dante. It was weirdoh.

So, for lunch today I cooked for the Belgium ambassador at his private residence on the mountain, 6 people. Nice and easy. I had 2 glasses of krug champagne, 2 glasses of a very nice Pinot, line caught wild cod. Part time gig while I await the completion of my million dollar restaurant. How's everyone else doing?
