oh, it was free Scotch all right. 3 whole ounces of Scotch (6 1/2-ounce shots) over FOUR AND A HALF (frank)ING HOURS. with 18 50-somethings in animal health-care business. one guy brought his dogs and had one of them sitting on his lap the entire time.

i would have preferred volunteering at a soup kitchen.

there was a macallan there. from the half sip i was afforded, it was good. the only redeeming part of the night was getting to try Snow Phoenix from Glenfiddich, which might have been the best scotch ive ever had. but 1/2 ounce, no seconds.
