Well, it's not like they have anyone in the minors that can help right away. |
|
|
|
Seriously, aside from Pacioretty and Prust... the other injuries are not that significant.
Brière wasn't playing anything near the level we needed.
Murray never started playing.
Parros wasn't gonna play every game anyway.
Emelin well... yeah we need him back at some point!
- Scabeh
Still, none of them got a real chance to get it going because its only been a few games in the season. |

He'd be better than Briere.. that's the sad part. - WaterBoy
At 0.5 PPG he could do well on your 3rd line. Happiness/satisfaction is simply = your expectations - reality
If you start with low expectations and Gagne exceeds them, then yall ougghta be quite pleased! |

no one injury is crippling for this team unless it's Price or PK. it's the collective that's starting to hurt though. you can take each player and say "it's not the end of the world" but when you look at what the lineup looks like without them, that's scary. like Engels said... Ryan White potentially moving onto the third line... |

a .5 ppg would actually be good on a 3rd line .. unless he's getting paid 4M a year. |

i don't. but i am starting to wonder if Bergevin is going to finally put his mark on this team. he's overhauled the prospect/minor league/coaching systems but the NHL roster is still largely the one built by Bob Gainey and Pierre Gauthier. he's unloaded some trash thanks to the compliance buyouts, but his only significant NHL additions have been Prust and Briere. (don't think he should get credit for Galchenyuk because that guy fell into his lap.) |

Burke did a good job with the Leafs. Starting with the prospects and AHL team. Now that all the players are graduating, the Leafs find themselves in a playoffs last season and in a playoff spot this year (for now, anyways).
Takes a couple years, at least 3. |

Just need him for a month or so until Pacioretty comes back.
He's perfect. |

the Leafs have been built mainly through trades and UFA. there's not a high percentage of that roster that was acquired through the draft. they're also really not the model the Habs are following and were in a completely different situation when MB took over than the Leafs were when Burke took over. |
