quite often on blogs, on twitter over the years, I have had quite a few battles with overly negative Ranger fans. It's always been a pet peeve of mine that no matter what the situation, there are those negative Nancy's out there who don't shut the eff up.

This is actually a pessimistic time, that's the reality. There is no way of getting around it. It doesn't make anyone less of a fan to acknowledge it and be worried about it.

et tu jimbro?

But no, you're right. It's tough for the club and the fans right now. Really hoping Nash is less serious than everyone is speculating. And it would be a shame if Hank doesn't end his career in NYC. He needs to get healthy and they need to get the contract done.

How can a Rangers fan be considered disloyal? I get that you don't like seeing fans quit so early, on the team they root for, but honestly questioning loyalty because we are concerned on how they look is a little ridiculous.
- MidnightMarauder

Didn't mean to imply disloyal, frustrated is one thing, but to start suggesting blowing things up three weeks in seems a tad rash, regardless of how crappy they have looked.

I am guilty of that because without a shift in this lineup, a significant one, I don't see how this group climbs out of it and becomes formidable.

Quie possible, but Hagelin is back in a week, Cally two weeks after that. Kreider is now up and we all know who knows about Nash. But again, it's three weeks in. Things look bleak but too early to abandon ship, tear down and talk of rebuilding.

I've been a Ranger fan since 1959, when my dad took me to my 1st Ranger game. I was 10 years old. Rangers got smoked 7-1, but I knew from that day forward I would be a Ranger fan.

Growing up in the 60's and all that meant, and going off to fight in an unpopular war, returning home to find girlfriend gone, and hostile people. But, I was still a Ranger fan.

Failed marriages, the death of another wife have been a few of the personal tragedies in my life, but through it all I've been a Ranger fan.

Today, my life is quiet, doing my thing. Playing golf, trying to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Now my team is in turmoil, decimated by injury, questioning the new coach, UFA's of the most important players on the team on the horizon, and the possibility of a very long season. I'm still a Ranger fan.

I'm going to be here on the site, expressing my opinion with some extremely knowledgeable posters. I've been very impressed with many of the facts and opinions expressed. Whether I agree or not is irrelevant, because I'm still a Ranger fan.

I'm going to be there Monday night, as I've been for very home opener for years. I'm probably not going to be very happy with the product, but I'm going to try to remember all the good and bad times in my life when being a Ranger fan helped get me through. After all, I'm still a Ranger fan.

That was immediate reaction and without Hank we all know the chances are stacked against us, my frame of mind is Hank is healthy, we get Hags and Callahan back and hopefully Nash can spell his name by Thanksgiving
