I feel your pain my NY brothers. Our team has issues, too. However, I think that our goalie issue may have been solved; at least until we sign him for 2000 years, and for $400 million dollars so that he can kick back, and take it easy. I really do miss the East battles, especially during the playoffs. I know there isn't much love loss between our teams, but you have to admit, the games used to be fun to watch. Now, they just seem sad. You find yourself just wanting to win a game, and you don't care who the win comes against. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that switching your coach, or GM doesn't really help. Or buying the biggest name in the league doesn't help either. Our teams need to change their building philosophy, and get back to the tough, and enjoyable battles that we had before. Oh, and don't forget to tell the NHL Network that they are not the Pens channel. If I hear another way to work the Pens into the conversation piece, I am going to ban the NHL channel in my household...lol.
Good luck, and hope to see you in the playoffs soon. Boo, Cindy.

if we blow it up, that means getting rid of hank. hank has been pretty crappy lately, but we all know he's going to get his sh!t together. he's too talented and too much of a hard worker to keep this crap up.

we trade hank, and we lose by 4 goals every single night for the next decade.

I would be shocked if there wasn't a goaltender that had a bad strectch in their career, he's been dominant for 8 years, he's no one year fluke and I for one refuse to turn my back over 8 games and forget all he's done

at least we have a coach that isn't mean to Sam Rosen or says mean things to the press about Carl Hagelin.

He may not know when to call a timeout, but, this nice guy thing is working wonderfuly

Wow. Just 'wow.' I can't believe people are actually hating on Callahan now. The start to the season has been a nightmare and a horrible disappointment but the boys in blue are also only 4 pts out of a playoff spot with a game in hand and more home games remaining than any team in the league.

I agree that AV needs to get this poop together or get out but let's not go nuts talking about blowing up the team including Hank and Cally. Let's all climb down off of the ledges. This team will blow itself up due to RFA/UFA at the end of the year anyway if this pace continues.

If the team pulls it together, gets their heads out of their asses, and builds some confidence they will be rolling when Nash, Cally, and Hagelin return. This early season adversity will serve to solidify the team and make them incredibly dangerous.

Hating on Callahan is just absurd. If the Rangers are dumb enough to let him walk it will reaffirm my belief that no one knows WTF they're doing. And please no BS about the way he plays, injuries etc. He's the best captain the Rangers have had say Messier, and before.

It is amazing how AV can make all star goalies look like chumps.

I will fully admit to not being a fan of Torts and wanting him gone after the loss to the Bruins. I will not take the bumhole that wins over the nice guy that can't manage his team.

Brian brings up a good point, if they play like this the rest of the way than why keep any of the veterans?

the most alarming aspect of this lundqvist slump is the fact that he's doing stuff he normally wouldn't do (like going down way early and shots beating him high). that reminds me of the lundqvist from 5 seasons ago who was weak high, especially on the glove side. i'm glad kredier was recalled. hopefully he will get more than 4 minutes of ice time.

Because he's the type player that you want the rest of your team to feed off.

Lundqvist was by far and away the most vocal with regard to Torts and his firing. I'm very sure he's feeling the pressure of that, and the fact that he's unsigned, and really doesn't want to leave NY. Not the kind of issues you want when you're struggling.

Maybe trade Girardi, pending UFA and we do have McIlrath and Allen coming up, you can't trade the Captain who's the heart of the team and is now way responsible for any of this

Granted Pomenville isn't the type of Leader Callahan is but the Sabres traded their captain. Flyers did it with Richards. It happens. If this team is going to be a bottom feeder all year long you have think about every option.

Agreed. Girardi has been a good soldier, and would be a nice piece for some team, especially if he brings back someone more suited to AV's style.

Maybe so, but he's not going anywhere, so unless you're turning in your jersey no sense hating him.

And for the record I NEVER "hated" on Cally, I love the Captain, who wouldn't? The point is as he gets up there in age & his style of play for a smaller man it could be very risky giving him a lucrative long term deal. I would hate to see him go elsewhere obviously.

kinda like Drury. Not comparing the two, but you saw the decline in Drury in his later years, so the dangers of a big contract are concerning

I think I used the phrase "hating" and it is a consideration. But I think there are gambles that are worth taking, and in Callahan's case It's justified.

I know I likely am in the minority & again, hate to say it cause Cally is the man. Would hate to see him get a huge $$ deal & be downtrodden w injuries for the rest of his career. Hope I'm wrong.

evrybody needs to calm down the team iced against new jersey was an AHL team for 2/3rds and hank had a bad night, he'll get himself back together no panic. and i'm very excited to see kreider back with the big club now give him a real chance to shine, he hasn't disapointed once when given a fair chance so give him that chance and pyatt needs to go and play kristo instead or do we trade kristo and DZ for a 'better' winger?

what would kristo+DZ get??

I really like kristo but maybe a guy like simmonds would be better suited for the team but hey again I'm just fine with playing kristo as well
