Regarding my day to day injury. Been dealing with it for 2 weeks, now was a good time to try and get back to 100%

- jimbro83

Interesting... so since the start of the season.... why now though? Why not rest it a week ago?

Gotta say this would never have been allowed in the past, glad to see him reaching out to the fans, when he is 100% he'll be back to elite, any of you who don't believe so can covert to Isles fans, I've seen too much back turning and that's coming from the mayor of rant central

Isles have sucked for years. Since I was born for that matter but grew up an islander fan and would never convert. Ranger fans will be the same way. I cant stand bandwagoners especially in NY

what he could do right now is sign a long term deal that helps the team out cap wise so we get some good news around here

And if he signs a deal it will be a HUGE wait off his shoulders, guarentee it, he would play better the second that contract got inked.

The Rangers are like the hockey version of the Book of Job this year. There are hockey gods, and they are franking with us. There is no doubt in my mind.

I think it's accurate to say that the Rangers have offered him a lot of money in an extension but it hasn't been enough for him, or he would have signed it already.

Honestly I've seen nor could ever understand it but maybe it's 30 years of marriage to this team but as much as we all get our anger out here, I've never seen a fan base more tuned out as right now

And then he can take those wads of money and stuff them in his pad to make himself look bigger.

Good post man, yea, I almost forget some of you younger Islander fans have no connect to the glory years, hell even I was only 7 the last yr they won the Cup, little to no memory of it. Its been 20 years since a playoff round victory for the Isles, so its been a tough go. Lots of props for the die hards hanging in there, especially most of you guys on hb, good people.

Yea, the pad nonsense is rubbish. Ok, new smaller pads are now "exposing" him as some have said.

We're all going to be fine. It's just a pretty brutal cycle of bad news early in a season where they were already coming in somewhat behind the eight ball. I think it is hard to tell much about he long term prospects of this team with 3 Top 6 forwards out of the lineup, although if it keeps going like this, they are going to have alot of ground to make up when, or if, they become whole.

Team playing poorly, my guess would be he tried to battle through it.

The more the rangers lost the more pressure he felt to play. This makes me feel a little bit better about his slow start and why he hasnt looked like himself so far this year.

It's crazy, but the Rangers are in Detroit on Saturday night, and my wife is bugging me to go. And, I am sitting her going do I really want to drop a couple of hundos, find a babysitter, come downtown on the weekend, just to watch the Rangers get blasted. I need to go, but still.

Because his agent told him to start coming up with excuses about why he is playing so poorly.

I kid...or do I?

Not bad at all, especially on a game night. Detroit ain't bad when there is something going on -- a concert, a game, et. It's the nights when there aren't many people around that you need to be careful.

If the prices are reasonable, go. At least you'll be able to watch one good hockey team live and in person.
