The better goalie needs to play and that is Schneider right now. We need to make up for the bad start. The entire D played well. Zid gets a lot of hate but he is almost ppg (7 points in 8 games). I can live with his high risk game if he keeps producing decent amount of points. Salvador had a good game too. People hate on him too, but I remember a couple seasons ago when he came off his injury and it took him 10 or so games to get going. Wouldn't be surprised to see him start to keep playing well.

Think Ted is going to come out next game. Hasn't done anything in the 2 games. I'd like to see Josefson stay in if only one of Brunner/Elias return. Also, I've been impressed by Jagr. Very good along the boards and great vision.

Agreed on the goaltending. You see it all over the league with 2 potential starting goalies...one gets hot, then he gets the start. No reason to turn Cory off, but who knows with this coaching staff. I'm not a fan of zid, but he did play ok tonight. The points are good, but he needs to dial down the risky plays BC some of those plays have cost them some games already. Sal looked good after he totally got rocked. Harold couldn't hold the line or control a pass for anything tonight. Green fayneand volch played well.

And for the love of god can we please keep henrique as our top line center. Kid looked solid out there tonight. Stop moving him around, he deserves top line minutes.

i know marty isn't as bad as he's been and he will probs turn it around, i just want to see the best goalie in net until the ship has been recovered from the bottom of the ocean.

I agree. Is 30-32 games really to little for Marty though cause I am really hoping Schneider see's at least 50 this season then extend him for 6 years next season.

Yea well he is a proven talent ( more so then Henrique) I don't think giving him 5.5-6 for 6 years will be a big deal with the cap going up and the contracts that will be coming off the books. Marty is making 5 if he chooses to come back as back up he will make like 1-2 for one year. and if not I doubt Lou spends over a mil on a back up not named Marty Brodeur. IMO Schneider is the only Elite NHL talent we have on this team right now so he should be making close to Zajac especially if we want to keep him. KInkaid can back up for like 900k and Wedge can start in ALbany.

And thats not even taking into account a compliance buy out on someone if Lou chooses.

(frank) he is on pace for like 81 points I really hope he keeps up the point production so we can get a first out of him at the deadline even if its a 25-30th pick. We also need to make sure we are drafting forwards in rounds 1-3 for the next few years.

Can you believe that Mantha kid Detroit took 20th over all this past draft? kid scored 50 goals last season, has like 16 goals and 28 pts in 10 games this season is 6'4 about 185-190 and all he does is score goals.

Yea funny thing is I had looked him up a few times before the draft because I like the big guys who can score but I didn't think he would go as high as 9 but apparently he was one of only a few in all the CHL last year to hit 50 goals and seems to be on a pace that I don't even have a word for

(frank) I don't know our guys only go to Sweden but don't pull the Zetterbergs out I still have faith in Larsson being a legit top pairing guy

Yea JJ realy impressed me last night. Made a lot of great defensive plays like clearing the puck from a danger zone in front of Cory while on his knees and back checking well. When Gionta left the game I didn't think Ryder fit well on that line he doesn't forecheck hard enough or have enough hustle. Is it just me or does Jagr seem faster then Ryder ? I thought Ryder looked like one of our slowest skaters last night.

Jagr actually cares. I've always known Ryder to be a floater.

Looking at the 2008 draft now, (frank) that year.

I have been afraid to say that but I still think Henrique has been better not much just a hair call me biased to him but hey I have been very very impressed with Jagr isn't even close to being as slow as I thought he would. I really like him being with Henrique it with really help turn him into a real pro like he did with Giroux. I don't know if I think Henrique is the same level of talent as Giroux but you know I have been preaching this kid is looking like a beaut. He can shoot he has some moves, he hustles and he thinks the game on a level that most of our guys don't the way he cut back into the net and almost scored a second goal. I mean I don't think you see to many of our guys doing those types of things and when they start going in 90% of the time we are going to see a special player. If he was a bit faster he would of had a shorty against the Sens but Karlson is a fast guy so what can you do. I do still think if he gets in better shape his level of play will really rise and thats not to paint a bad picture of him like he is lazy and isn't putting in the time he needs to be because I think he does but there is another gear there I can see it.

Its scary it took him till he was 38 to start to care if he did when he was a kid he would have a few of Gretzky's records. Gotta think to he could have or be close to his goal record if you factor in the time he spent in the KHL in his prime and the 3 lockouts he has sat through.. I know Gretzky sat through one or two lock outs but still.

I'm big believe in Henrique but he has to produce. Hope he keeps playing with Jagr. I knew Jagr wasn't that slow he just doesn't have the explosive first few strides like he use too. Still at 42 he's a better skater than Clarkson.
