Your mistake, but it's Yakupov's fault for saying it in that way - Matt_Henderson

Wow, panties a little tight there. You brought up the Wikipedia quote so therefore you open yourself to criticism.
But, go ahead. Keep impressing your friends with Wikipedia fact. But you may at least want to try growing up. I wasn't attacking you, just Wikipedia as fact.
Clown - TandA4Flames
Impress my friends with wiki facts?
Wiki has nothing to do with the conversation. It's a source, nothing more nothing less. So are you going to answer my question regarding a better source or continue to talk poop?
I'm actually impressed that a Flames fan (with a cat avatar) can actually navigate the internet. |

He's the first one on the ice, last one off it, leaves the rink way later than everyone else, and wants the puck all the time. How someone can read "Lazy" into that is beyond me. |

If we keep playing the way we do behind our own blue-line and take penalties in the double digits, I don't see how the oilers' young guns and company pot 5-7 in the net, regardless of who's in net for us. That being said, even if we do tighten it up, speedy forwards has been our weakness ( see: toronto's domination over the sens for the past few years), which you seem to possess by the dozens. Turris, the D-core and discipline will be the keys to victory.
Hopefully,...you guys fall flat on your asses |

Well this is nice entertainment this morning. Not only does Wikipedia mention that Nonis and Dreger are cousins, it can be found on many other sites as well; Leafsnation, the Star, Canucks.com, just to name a few. |

You can interpret it as guy who wants to be puck carrier, I'm going to interpret it a lazy player who doesn't want to do what every single hockey player needs to do. - SameOld

Agreed. To add to that he comes from a different culture. Every culture has it's own way of communicating an idea, statement, etc.
If you were to say something in Russia or anywhere else, people could misinterpret your intentions as well. |

Well his defensive play is lazy, but overall I wouldn't call him lazy. |

Jason Gregor said on his show that his had many of interviews with Yak and sometimes the guy stops and thinks about what word to use. Gregor got the impression that he just says things to keep the conversation going, not knowing if the right word was used or not. |

Can't blame the kid for that. I came to canada when I was 14, from India. I had a terrible time for a few years ( despite learning english my whole life). That being said, everyone's different. Not everyone's a freaking Landeskog. |

schneider went for first round pick. i wonder would murray take a 1st round pick for lehner. - deks1
God no.
Lehner is looking like a star goaltender, and Ott has prospects.
Van only did that because they were (frank)ed contract-wise with Schneider needing a new deal and being unable to move Lou. |

Then you really aren't fresh off the boat anymore are you
I agree 100%. How Landeskog has better English than most people that were born and raised here still shocks the heck out of me.
Smid and Hemsky have had similar issues over the year. Smid especially when it was rumored he demanded a trade. All it was is that he wanted to be used more and if he didn't happen then maybe him and whoever the GM were would have to sit down and figure crap out. |
|
|
|
at this point and time the oiler won;t get fair value in any trade as other teams know that the oilers are feeling the pressure ..... they kinda did it to themselves as they left the team with very little mid level prspects and now need to trade one of the upper tear propects in order to address any of the glarring issues the team has. |

There is no way the Oilers (or any team) will trade a first overall for a backup goalie.
Leaf fans, is Reimer worth more than Bernier? If not, then why the hell would anyone pay more for Reimer than what the Leafs paid for Bernier. |

Leafs are not trading either right now. And Reimer has outplayed Bernier in the last week. |

He could, but is Yak or Eberle, or Petry/Schultz + good prospect worth it? I don't think you're getting Lehner out of there for much less.
I don't know what Anderson would cost but its generally not a good bet to give up a solid player or two for non-elite goalies. Smid or N. Schultz plus something nice like a 1st round pick if Ottawa adds on their end. That's probably what'll it take because they don't have much of a reason to break up a goalie tandem that's been crucial to their success. - Jack-artist
1. Anderson is Elite and if he isn't then he is pretty damn close to it. The guy outright steals games like its nobody's business and makes a habit out of it. Has done it past two seasons as well. No question about it. Unless you only consider Stanley Cup winning goalies elite?? But that would mean Crawford and Niemi are Elite and Lundqvist isn't??
2. I can assure you Petry/Schultz + good prospect would get laughed at if they called about Lehner and pitched that. Everyone else outside of Edm knows Schultz can literally only play in one zone. And dont reply, so does Karlsson because that is just an asinine, ignorant and totally incorrect comment.
3. Ottawa won't trade Anderson unless something comes in and completely BLOWS THEM AWAY. Like a drastic overpayment, which I dont see any team doing at this point in a season, if ever. A fair return for Anderson would be bonafide Top 6 player or Top 4 D and MAYBE a prospect OR pick pending on who the player is.
4. I would be going hard after Hiller. Probably the least expensive to get starting goalie you could acquire via trade, and Anaheim really has no room for him after this season with Fasth and Gibson now knocking on the door. |

Lets be honest here. The Sens are not trading Lehner. So Anderson is the only guy they would consider trading. They are on a budget so they are not taking back any huge salary's. Anderson is a hell of a goalie but also has injury history and concerns. That lowers his value. If anything Anderson would go for a something like Smid and a mid-pick. My opinion of course. |
