As much as I hate it, it could for Stafford. Alternatively, there's Miller (doubtful with Dubnyk's return), Myers, Weber (for that bottom pairing tough D role), and perhaps Foligno. They could also be looking at the Avs' forward like McGinn, Downie, and Mitchell. If I were to put money, it'd be Weber from Buffalo or Mitchell from Colorado, although I don't like either of them.

I just finished watching the game. Wow, the Oilers got pretty lucky with that one. Its nice to see them pull it off though.

I actually do believe there's some legs to the yaks rumour. even if he did turn it back on, I think a combination of a couple of those players could help us more and make us a much more well rounded team than his skillset can offer.

Take Myers. If Pysyk ends up leaving Buffalo I will be royally pissed. Hes already showing poise of a vet. Players come and go. But we found a career D man that you can hitch a wagon to to show up 90 percent of the time. With the tire fire that is the Buffalo Sabres he is somehow holding his own. STAY AWAY FROM MARK

with myers contract and struggles, there's almost no way it would be yak for him straight up. and by adding ott or foligno you could end up losing big.

but it could also go the other way of course...yak turns into a 40 goal scorer while myers never gets back to dominating and we have a 5+ mil 4-5 spot guy for six years...
