I disagree, in part. Gillis has made some good moves. He & Gillman consistently get players to re-sign for less that market value, brought in Santorelli, Garrison, Hamhuis, Higgins.

Where Gillis fails miserably is trading. The Schneider, Ballard and Hodgson trades were all terrible. I can think of just one great trade, Ehrhoff.

It's almost like we need a GM committee. Gillis & Gillman can handle contracts and FA's, but maybe they need someone to advise on trades?

I dont mind the hodgson trade really, I still believe Kassians going to turn out great eventually

If the Sedins are moved, how much longer before a few other veteran Canucks are moved? Could this be the beginnings of a rebuild on the fly? Maybe Gillis learned something from other teams, who waited too long to move aging stars. You know, Iginla and Sundin. The Canucks have and will continue to tread water, with this lineup, so why waste time?

Sedins are 33, they retire as Canucks. They'd rather retire early then play in Philly.
