"Onto the rumors. I continue to hear more and more regarding Philadelphia and Winnipeg talking. Names like Byfuglien, Coburn, Voracek, and Little keep coming up....among some prospects...

- Marc D

I don't want to lose Voracek, but Little is a really solid player.

I do want to lose Braindead Coburn, but Byfuglien is obviously risky.

If that was the trade it could definitely work out provided Buff kept his weight down and his head on straight. He had 6 points in 7 games and is +1 playing 25 minutes a night. The Flyers really could use a defenseman with those stats.

This team is struggling offensively. Last Season Giroux was a point a game player. and Voracek had 46 points in 48 games I beleive.

Once they hire a witch doctor to exercise the demons, they will start lighting it up.

Those damn demons, hopefully with Halloween around the corner, the ghosts and goblins don't show up.

He's going to play signficantly more the 15 minutes a game. Streit is averaging 20:04 per game, and that's not likely to change much.

Hmmmm... Didn't realize he had that average ice time. Still want him on 1st pp unit

Nah, if this team gets it act together, you won't be happy. Nothing to be negative about!

The teams current state has the "negative nancies" looking like fools.

I don't care what his weight is. If he brings his usual game and production he could weigh 600 lbs for all I care

I only care about his weight if it's affecting his performance. There's a tipping point at which it would have to have some effect. He just needs to stay below that point on the scale.

Why do the Jets want to trade Byfuglien if he is so good?

No, I'm agreeing with you. It's a legit question. Despite his success, teams seem to be willing to move on from him. With top-pair defenseman being near-impossible to acquire, the fact that he's not locked up like Fort Knox is troubling.

I really wish the flyers would excercise patience here and not make any rash decisions on trades. And I'm a season ticket holder for several years, I'm willing to wait this out and let the youth develop.

So who wins a Little/Byfuglien for V and Coburn?

I've had season tix since 09/10, partial since 05/06. If they exercise patience and show a commitment to developing players, I'll stick with them. If not, I will (sadly and somewhat begrudgingly) not renew next year.

You mean when Coburn rounds into 09/10 form Coburn by being placed in a situation to succeed and Byfuglien and the Philly media meet? Hmmm...

Coburn baffles me. He was (hopefully still is) a damn good Dman. What the hell happened?

I gotta figure it was the puck that hit him in the face. For whatever reason (visor?), he was never the same after that. Save for the 09/10 playoffs, when he was flat-out amazing.

Based on performance this year, the Flyers do by a long way.

Based on the next three or four years? God only knows. At least the ages and contracts are fairly similar so it would be easy to compare.

Why would anyone give us any decent players for our guys that are a goal a game last place team?

I was at the Phoenix game last Friday. I was very impressed with that squad. Fast, smart, skilled puck handlers, good goaltending. And their defensemen! Where did Stone come from? OEL is terrific and Yandle just quietly goes about being a top notch player. Did they draft all 3 of them?
(I could google that, but it's easier to ask you guys)

That's what blows my mind ,09/10 really wasn't that long ago.
