I have no doubt that he is part of the problem.....maybe just not in the romantic sense. If he at least had a center that could elevate his game when he's not firing on all cylinders then maybe some magic could happen. Bozak gives Phil the opporunity to be mediocre on the nights Bozak is medicore as well as on the nights Phil is mediocre. It's a 2 for 1 deal!

Really like what I have seen from this kid so far. Has good size too. As much as I like Kuli, I think guys like Leivo/Broll can step into 3rd line and fill that spot easily.

I think Kuli is gone come trade deadline. As I am betting he likely won't sign extension and tries FA.

it's called the 4th line. His job is to not get scored on, and he hasn't been. Even beat the poop out of Steve Ott which earns him 2 more months as the 13th forward once MacLaren comes back.

Bodie sucks. He had 2 good games, but he's terrible. Ashton can at least kill penalties and forecheck. And he's won a couple fights in his life, unlike Bodie.

Ashton might get to stick at the 13th guy over Broll and Leivo because of his experience but both of those guys have looked better IMO.

God it'll be nice if they can get a healthy/unsuspended lineup together for a few weeks.

I agree. Leivo and Broll and even Bodie i thought showed more than Ashton. Ashton was good at getting his nose mashed in by Tinordi though. I'd rather see Leivo stick than any of the other callups we've had. Devane and Abbot

I think they gave up Frattin because they have guys like Leivo, Biggs, Ross, etc. Leafs really need to inject some scoring skill in the prospect pool, can't have a whole team of bangers.

Well ya, and Kadri's looked better than Orr. Ashton is a 4th liner. Leivo will be top 6 one day.

Not even remotely the same role on the team.

Like saying they should go with Leivo-Smith-Broll on the 4th line instead of
McLaren-McLement-Orr, but Carlyle's not about to do that.
