i believe no one gets credit for the shutout in that case. like 4 pitchers combining for a no-hitter.

That is an exception.

True story. Curly almost didn't get cast as one of the Stooges. They said he was too handsome. Can't imagine the Stooges without him. Almost as bad as Gene Hackman almost being cast as Archie instead of Carrol Connor.
