Bad when the guy can't make that defensive lineup. It must be a youth movement.
- bixll

Between last year and this Leafs are 25-11-5 when outshot. Of course, none of those versus Hawks but that is a whole lot of lucky.
- Canada Cup

I'm telling you...if the Leafs want to outshoot a team they need to bring Jason Blake out of retirement, although you could argue Blakes shots may also be considered a turn over.

I also just learned that the ACC employee registering the opponents shots is 83 years old and is suffering from Parkinsons. He will now record the Leafs shots from here on in - expect a big change in the Leafs play.

Faulk and Murphy are looking pretty good....Harrison has become that steady stay at home the Leafs hoped he'd become.....

Hope the Hainsey lovers notice now that there is no way he could've replaced Dion here.

It was brought up many times Bruce. "Trade Dion and sign Hainsey to take his minutes". Maybe someone with a better memory for names can point the poster/ or posters out....And I know you weren't as extreme as some others, but Hainsey is crap.

To me he's the Matt Stajan of top pairing d-men.

Pretty sure you can put all Canadian teams on that list.

And add the Coyotes as the 8th team.

Good trade Leafs could use someone like Gardiner on the backend...

who cares, theres a big difference between shots on net and quality scoring chances Dozzer. Gosh.
- Colin Dambrauskas

Pretty sure this is a big reason that most of the Wilson run Leafs teams never made the playoffs. They routinely out shot their opponents, but ultimately never had enough quality scoring chances (or the players needed to finish), to win.

The Leaf teams of the Wilson era are pretty good proof that advanced stats based on puck possession or shooting ratios mean jack.
