I have felt the same. That's not saying Marty has been bad but he isn't better then Schneider and the fact that we are making a competition out of it when there is already a clear cut winner kind of sucks.

Nope. Something needs to happen. Tedenby was on the injured non roster list and was activated to the roster.

He wasn't afraid to let people know how he felt and he also didn't like guys taking liberties on his guys. I remember when Coburn played for the Thrashers and he dumped Parise in the corner. Sutter just taps Rupp on the shoulder and he hopes onto the ice and just dusts Coburn.

Lack of effort is unquantifiably more egregious than lack of talent.

Brunner has been on the 3rd line bc/ he put forth no effort on that play. He was there, he didnt have to come back hard.....and he just stopped working.

Just stopped.



The defense is different, it's a talent issue in one area or another.

At some point you have to let the offensive guys be offensive guys and the defensive guys take care of the rest we are one of the only teams in the league that is like this. Is it really any wonder we can't score when we basically ruin all the guys who can scores game? Not everyone is going to be Patrik Elias hell hardly anyone is going to be watch us ruin Boucher he won't see time with the big club till he is 26 and a fringe NHLer at that point. You either let a guy score goals or you hold the entire team back by punishing the guys who can for missing defensive assignments. Yes some forwards should be strong defensively but when every single one needs to be they stop putting up the numbers they would have.

And the offense is going to improve when the transition through the neutral zone improves, not because of different line combos or giving one guy, any one guy, more minutes.

A better 2nd outlet pass improves transition which improves forecheck (because your on pace with the puck, not chasing it a step behind) which improves offense.

Right now, those outlet passes aren't tape to tape. they're off the mark and everything is messed up. Likely because of the 5 new forwards the team brought in. It takes time.

Not in their offensive system. It's based on a team forecheck. Not individuals. Everyone skates. Everyone works. (See above) If Sutter was still coaching, I wouldn't disagree.
