Just got done at the range shooting my new bushmaster. Using advanced math, the flyers actually win tonight.
6-3 according to my target. |

Listening the NHL network on XM yesterday on my drive home from work and they were talking about the Canadian Olympic team and its centers. I was waiting for them to mention Clode's name....... Nope.
Possibilities of G's slow start this year:
1. Lavy's quote a couple of years ago could have put added pressure on him to succeed (Lavs certainly didn't do him any favors with that quote).
2. Golf accident this past offseason
3. The Captaincy may be too much for him to handle (Richards 2.0)
- I don't understand why teams feel the need to give the "C" to the best player. In your opinion, did he show signs of someone who wanted or could handle the pressure? - Mangia_Bene
In my opinion the only reason given here that may have affected him is the injury. I dn't believe the other 2 suggestions are a factor. |

I don't know whether or not G wanted the C, but the only time I've seen him rise to the occasion and put the team on his back, something you want from your Captain and the best player on your team, is that playoff game vs the Pens where he came out and went right after Crosby, then scored that goal. That was an impressive display. |

The problem is he is at a point in his development where there is not much to be gained by sending him back to junior, which is why the NHL-junior leagues agreement really sucks. He'd probably be best served by going to Wilkes Barre for most of this season. - Emperor Filonius
It's the same way here with Laughton.
Lots of teams have young captains. I don't think this team's struggles in 2013 have anything to do with Giroux being captain. |

he could step onto the ice right now and get closer to the crease than 90% of our current forwards... |

Depends on how they lose, I think, for the trade I will call "Homer's Last Stand". |

I agree and that game stands out to all of us. I want THAT guy back...not the one who second guesses his decisions on the ice or opts to pass rather than shoot. Maybe he needs to talk to the old Swedish guy in Mighty Ducks. |

Interested in seeing what else goes to Edmonton. With Miller being a UFA, you have to think they would get quite a bit more. - nastyflyergirl
The deal from EDM standpoint would have to be contingent on Miller re signing. |

Yea my buddy supposedly "knows some guy who is good buddies with a bunch of """insiders""" "
I tend to brush him off, but he was pretty accurate with his past 5 or 6 claims.
I still think it would have to be a pretty big deal to actually go down..
Edm would have to package Yak, and Myers and Miller would have to be included in a package going the other way.. |
