The sun sets in April for FOUR months!

They have one heck of a sunrise in August though.

I bet! A little chilly for my tastes though.

I'm doing pretty good. How bout you?

And I'm looking forward to a solid effort tonight and G's first goal.

From your keyboard to his hockey stick. Him, Simmonds, Read, and "Coots" have been killing my fantasy team. All but G have been dropped.

"Yeah, it gets pretty emotional when you play Pittsburgh," Berube said. "Obviously, they get fired up. We get fired up. We're looking for some good emotion, but some controlled emotion. I think it's important to have emotion in the game and that we're physical. But that it's controlled. We got to do a good job on [Sidney] Crosby and [Evgeni] Malkin. They are dangerous players and we need to neutralize them as best as we can."

Ouch, they definitely didn't do you any favors this season. G's gotta be due to break out, and hopefully playing against his buddy Crosby provides the spark we've all been waiting for. And once that first one goes in, the monkey should crawl off his back.

Am I mistaken in thinking the new blogger is Erik Marsh, Brad's son? I thought Bill said that yesterday. Still, Ek has it officially on his blog that Brad Marsh is the new blogger. I might be wrong, but if Ek really doesn't even know who his bloggers are, then wow

Once a week in winter at McMurdo base they get Category one storms and once a month Category three storms. In the film one night they measured winds over 220 mph.

It is crazy. Worth seeing when it comes to town.

Hard to believe it's only been a year and a half since the Flyers hung a couple of 8-spots on the Pens in the 2012 playoffs. Feels like 10 years ago to me.

He is a very promising combination of solid defensive instincts with some mobility and puck-moving upside. That said, if he stays in the NHL all year, he's probably going to "hit the wall" at some point this year. The learning curve is what is, and very few young D men prove immune from it.
- bmeltzer

The problem is he is at a point in his development where there is not much to be gained by sending him back to junior, which is why the NHL-junior leagues agreement really sucks. He'd probably be best served by going to Wilkes Barre for most of this season.

My understanding is that they will both be blogging except Brad will only be once a week.

+1. I understand frustration with the poop start to the season, and I get that hockey conversation isn't always exchanging rosy outlooks on your team. It's gotten stale looking at every little thing that goes wrong as some grand organizational failure, though.
- BulliesPhan87

+1

I feel like i am reading Philly Sports talk radio transcripts in here. We know this team is struggling but the non-stop negativity on every aspect of the team is pointless.

How about criticism with aspects on how to rectify the issue you are criticizing?

Listening the NHL network on XM yesterday on my drive home from work and they were talking about the Canadian Olympic team and its centers. I was waiting for them to mention Clode's name....... Nope.

Possibilities of G's slow start this year:

1. Lavy's quote a couple of years ago could have put added pressure on him to succeed (Lavs certainly didn't do him any favors with that quote).
2. Golf accident this past offseason
3. The Captaincy may be too much for him to handle (Richards 2.0)
- I don't understand why teams feel the need to give the "C" to the best player. In your opinion, did he show signs of someone who wanted or could handle the pressure?

Interested in seeing what else goes to Edmonton. With Miller being a UFA, you have to think they would get quite a bit more.

The way he set the tone in game 6 against the Pens, I figured right there that he both deserved and wanted the C.

Still think kimmo should have had it until he retired and then G could have taken over
