i wont simplify it to strictly an effort thing. but come on. look at this lineup and tell me it really lacks for goal scorers, on paper at least. i admit that the whole on paper thing is tricky, but thats where things like effort and chemistry do come into play. but just objectively, there are at least 5 or 6 guys who should be potting minimum of 20 goals on this team.

There's a difference between giving effort, and giving maximum effort. And raising your level of play like the Pens did that period. Can you really tell me you saw the Flyers playing with maximum effort and intensity that period? It's a simple game. You think you understand reality, but you don't. The Pens have a bunch of grinders to go along with the top players. And they out skated and outworked the Flyers in that period. It's that simple

In all sincerity they can't score as it is and taking away 2 young guys like Schenn and Couturier isn't going to help. really, having Weber and all defense and lacking offense really hasn't worked all that well for Nashville. I just hope the Flyers stay patient and build around the young core they have. of course that said, I know they won't. as much as I appreciate an owner who wants to win at all cost, I hate it.
