that canucks game is the blueprint: do something good by playing hard and scoring first only to have some horse$%#t bad luck play happen 10 seconds later. they will play ok but lose most of their games, i fear, as they still don't/can't/won't play 60 mins. then with 10 games left, being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention since new years day, they will figure it all out and go 9-1 dropping them from a top 2 pick to the mid teens; this will give all the fans hope for the following year.......

If they can somehow manage 2 points tonight, and head into the 6 day break with some confidence, we may see a different team next week. Lecavalier should be back then giving the lineup some more depth.

Related topic -- I have noticed a *definite* decline in the quality of the work that the 3601 production crew puts out over the past few years. They won an award for the pump-up video the year that Briere and Timonen and Hartnell came on board but those same videos the past few years have been boring dreck.

And without knowing all the details, I feel the in-game stuff is lazy. I don't buy that there is a technical reason that they can't show immediate replays on a regular basis. Perhaps on certain controversial calls the NHL forbids them from showing it, but there are plenty of other things that happen that they should be showing but don't. They have no problem pushing merchandise though. I realize this is probably a top-down command from Lukko, but it is preposterous either way.
