This has become a very sad place. I miss the arrogance and almost want the Canucks to start winning.

Almost.

You called?

Good one. It's possible that "trolls" are staying away because their threads are not not overrun with Luongo trade proposals. We can all love one another now.

Switch Reilly with Gardiner and you might be able to swing it.

You have to post this on other teams blogs to attract the trolls. They are like zombies who are attracted to noise.

Now if we could only shoot them when they show up...

That's why I'm suggesting targeting Stajan - potential UFA, good set up man can take 2nd line duties, and we've got enough grinders so we're not going to be too soft.

rights to Rodin and a 5th for Stajan. Anymore and Calgary eats loads of salary.

Well he is injured right now. Not sure how bad it is. But I'd rather give Schroeder a long look before trading for a huge undeachiever.

Schroeder needs a long look - I'm all for giving him a shot with Kessler and whatever winger is the flavour of the day. (Santorelli?)

I think Stajan would be better in a role where he isn't even considered for a spot on the top line, more of a #6 on the top 6, decent playmaker, not a penalty taker. Going up against lesser defenders etc. That is if he isn't injured. This is the type of forward they should be realistically targeting.

The team needs a pure sniper, but there just isn't one around that they can get. Why not get a player that makes the other ones just a smidge better.

Anyone else think they should give Daniel a look at centre?

Assuming a full lineup

Higgins-Henrik-Burrows
Booth-Daniel-Santorelli
Schroeder-Kesler-Hansen
Weise-Richardson-Kassian

Just an idea for the blender. It would seem we could roll out the lines a little more evenly instead of leaning on the top 3 for 24 minutes a night. Of course, you could also mix it up a bit to cut back ice time to forwards that don't deserve it on any given night.

He is a playmaker but it depends on how he is at face offs.

The Kesler-Henrik-Higgins line was the first line to generate any sustained pressure in several games. I'd rather not break it up right away.

I think a Danny-Schroeder-Kassian second line might be worth a try for a couple games.

No computer for the next week or so, in for repairs.
I haven't jumped if the Canucks lose the next six nor have I OD'ed if they win the next six.

How will you survive without? You might want to consider another technician if the work is taking a week.

Definately he is smart enough to carry it off. Sort of sad that we would have to do that given all the c's we have. As an aside Doesn't do much for our negotiations if he excels tho.....

I am pretty concerned the sedins are walking at the end of the year. Slow mo gillis couldn't get it done in preseason.

In terms of trades the only guys I see we could part with and get a decent return is burrows or Kesler. Then we miss our 1 true heart and soul guy and our clutch center and we lose out. We are stuck hoping kassian or booth or Schroeder hit a new level....

Carol- I would like u to sneak in 1 controversial comment per blog- there is too much love and football being discussed.

No but not very many teams can maintain a cup final level... I expect a slide but I only hope management can do a better job of being competitive then say Edmonton has been....it is possible to re tool rather then be the laughing stock of the league for 5 years.

Kassian should crush Christian with a big check. And score a goal...That would be awesome then BXA should rag doll coho Double awesome.

Then luo gets the shut out and miller asks for a trade to dallass.

I would Definitely be having a good night if all that happened. Erhoff with mega contract can suck it. Can't believe people are wishing we signed that deal. Our d is good enough - dare I say stacked

I have to agree though. I mean everything has it's place and a bunch of dudes talking chocolate is more Roxy than hockeybuzz.....I can't say I have ever tried to order labatt 50 there when for some reason I ended up there....

Hodgson as scores tonight, Ehrhoff gets an assist(hopefully on that goal and not another one). Kassian takes a penalty. So really we're already down 1-0 with a penalty to kill.
