We go through this every season. The Canucks play .500 hockey until mid/late November and then suddenly find their legs and their game.

2 of the losses were against San Jose, who are beating everyone right now. It's not a bad start. Hopefully they can gel a bit more as a team on this 7 game road trip.

Everyone wants to win......We have been way better then Mediocre....Some people just like to whine when they lose......good ol fair weather whiny fans that only support teams that win the cup... because that is the only thing Vancouver has failed to do so really we shouldn't be whining.... Now Edmonton must be great to watch because they have won cups!!

The 'Montreal Loss' was THE evidence that the team doesn't have the mental fortitude to brush aside minor setbacks. The own goal was a freak accident, but the the Hamhuis penalty was the final nail in the mental game coffin.

They need to get over the "hey they're not playing fair" mentality - they need to forget what the other team does and play the game. Will they do it? Don't know with Torts throwing a tantrum here and there, might feed into their attitude.

And where are the trade rumors!

I think you exaggerate a little no? Pretty tough to say this team is one thing or another after only a handful of games. In that once instance, sure, they couldn't get over it, but they could still surprise everyone.

Just seems like a broken record.... every year for the past few, the oiler trolls are all over our threads during the summer, all excited about there latest top draft choice....and how good their new dynasty club is going to be, only to disappear as soon as the season starts because of how bad their team is playing.... I figured we would have seen some improvement there. But really ... Have they improved in the last 5 years...

well lets just say its evidence that problems left over from AV's era are still present. Sure they could rise above, I'm just not sure that Torts tantrums are going to help. I don't know much about Torterella, but it looks like the mental fortitude issues haven't vanished.
