Would you give up Reimer, Gardiner and a 1st for Yak and a 2nd? - whipper334
No. Not now anyway.
It could turn out to be a GREAT trade. It could also be a total waste.
I'm kinda leery about Yak.
Besides, scoring wingers are always welcome, but are FAR down the list of the Leafs needs.

ference and the 1st round pick from the oilers is the only thing that helps the leafs improve. |

While eberle is a huge upgrade on offence Edmonton is dealing from a position of weakness with the desperation for a goalie and including the fact that Toronto shouldn't give up so many nhl assets including one of the goalies that are the only reason the Leafs are 6-1, I would make Edmonton pay more or leave them waiting in the wind.
Eberle, Nurse
For
Reimer, Gardiner, Kulemin, AHL prospect (whoever Eakins wants) and a conditional pick. (*2015 1st if Kulemin walks, 2nd otherwise).
It is a bad deal for Edmonton in so many ways but if they want to take a young stud NHL d-man, a starting goalie and a replacement NHL winger then I would want something other than Eberle. Maybe I'm greedy but we are in no hurry to make that deal otherwise. - Steven_Dean

Leivo looks alright out there. He doesnt look out of place in the NHL and Broll looks alright too. Better callups than the last batch of crap they called up |

Proven # 1 goalie, top 4 D puck moving D who played with J shultz of the oilers (regardless of what anyone says this will change the value of gardiner to EDM) and a 1st for Yak.. lol. |

No, Corsi says that the Sens, over a very large number of trades, will have a tendency to be better trading partners for the Oilers.

I doubt Edmonton would view Reimer as much of an upgrade over Dubnyk. |

Some of them don't.
If Reimer isn't, then who is reasonably available that is?

I'd say a proven number 1 goalie has played more than 40 games in a season....and has more than 20 wins.
Reimer has played well for a couple of half seasons. |

If the Oilers are looking around to find availability of goalies, where were they in June when Dean Lombardi was ready to trade Bernier? |
