So are the Franson doubters coming around yet?

What a great pass to Bolland, but even better was Bolland taking that hot pass and boom right on Bozak's stick.

BOOM!!!

I think those two facets are related.

No, not so much. Take away the 2 breakaways and they're outshot 35-14. I would have no concern at all. Breakaways notwithstanding, Minny didn't have very many great scoring chances, and they had 5 power plays! How many amazing saves did Reimer have to make to keep the team in it?

I must have got drunk easy last night ( 4 beers )

It didn't seem the leafs got outshot by that much to be honest.

I thought it was a pretty solid game.

Maybe I should go rewatch it

- Garnie

Even to me man!

Seriously though, despite being out shot - there was maybe two occasions when I was legitimately nervous they would score. Both were on the PK.

Who are the doubters? I don't get how anyone who watched him play the second half of last year and 7 playoff games would doubt he's a top 4 dman in this league.

I'm just kidding, not too many doubted his talent just didn't believe he should be signed to a bigger contract. That might come back to bite us and I believe he is and could be a big part of this team for a few years. He keeps going he's going to get a big payday and we might not be able to squeeze him in again next year.

I don't think they're in such bad shape. Cap will increase by 6milly and Tucker/Armstrong come off the books. Philip makes +3mil, Dion won't be much more than his current hit if he's re-signed, Bolland will be roughly the same, hopefully they'll be rid of Liles' hit, that leaves lots of space to re-up Franson and Gardiner and whomever else will need it.

It was a weird game to be sure, but I'm not buying this crap that the Leafs were outplayed.

We were up 2-1 after one. Yeah, the game was still up for grabs, but hey, we were winning, and the only goal they got was on the powerplay.

We outplayed them in the 2nd, and stretched the lead to 3-1.

And we held and increased that lead in the 3rd. Other than a couple of giveaway breakaways, Minny never really threatened.

They can have 50 shots a night for all I care - as long as they aren't good ones.

Reimer hasn't proven that he's an upgrade to Dubs. Other than the last 6 games, he and Dubs have had very comparable numbers over the last 3 years.
- BigDre

Except it isn't our fanbase that is ready to kill our goalie.

Hell, we weren't even this critical when Reimer returned from concussion and wasn't playing all that well... and Reimer and Gustavsson crapped the bed, right out of oa playoff spot.

This is the gospel I've been trying to spread, but oddly enough people don't seem to take kindly to me knocking on their doors to tell them how putting their faith in the Leafs will be their salvation. Ah well, I'll keep trying.

Leaf fans think back 6 years ago when a team with Stajan, Blake, Stempniak, etc. would hammer the opposition with shots directly into the opposing goalie's chest rush after rush, but score little and lose lots. I think Roloson had a 55 save shutout against them one night.

Was anyone thinking "Man, we're outshooting our opponents so much it's only a matter of time before the pucks start going in and the wins pile up."? I didn't think so. Then why should we be so concerned about consistently getting outshot but winning?

Edmonton didn't make a bigger offer...Canucks named their price and Edmonton said no. You are once again wrong.

Just like with Minny. LA said they want Coyle. Minny said no thanks.

- Iggysbff

Just as i said... La tried to trade bernier in the west, despite you saying they didn't want to.

It would be a waste of time when the only speculation that is correct is the TO bloggers that Burn has read.
