I have more of an issue with the defenseman sitting than the forward, and I think you know why that is....SOMEONE has to play defense around here, so it might as well be a rookie, since the others aren't all that good...

anyone else not even noticed clutterbuck so far? I'd be surprised if he has more than 1 hit.

So, Ristolainen wins it tonight with his first career goal?
- UIF

You guys beat me to it. We always allow first career goals. I'd seriously like to keep a tally this year...last year I actually believe it was around 6...in a shortened season!!!! So far Seth Jones...

I can argue for Strait, Hickey or possibly Amac given the roles they fill but Carkner?
- keaner17

it'd be a pretty even or one sided argument in Donovan's favor if you ask me.

Looks like Boulton in for McDonald tonight for #Isles.

Arthur Staple @StapeNewsday
Nelson on for warmups too. Have to see who's in for McDonald, who did not skate this AM.

Arthur Staple @StapeNewsday
With Sabres dressing John Scott, going to guess Boulton gets the call over Nelson.

"Former first overall pick Nail Yakupov and highly touted Bruins d-man Dougie Hamilton have both been healthy scratches for their teams past two games"

- Cptmjl

I heard on Sirius XM NHL station the other day that Bruin's management is not happy with Hamilton. Also Dougie may not be happy in Boston either. Seems Dougie doesnt like the big city atmosphere or the press.

During the radio segment. According to the Bruin's Beat Sports Reporter. Boston thought they were getting a Bruin type "D" man. A Big Hard hitting, gritty, in your face "D" man. Having seen Dougie's game up close. Now they realize that, that may not be a big part of Dougie's game. He has been shying away from contact and passing up hits. The talk out of Boston (from Bruins Beat Reporter) is that Hamilton may be moving on a la Tyler Sequin if things dont change in the not so distant future.

I found the interview extremely interesting.

No offense......but we'd d*mn well better win this game.....tired of seeing this team blow easy points....been tired....
- dcb1

If we dont win this game. Isles are in bigger trouble than we think.

And I think we're in trouble.

Man this is a shock SCLI. I thought Hamilton and Boston were set for years together?

We do well in brawl-games. Tho, we were up 6-0 vs. Pens before the Debacle on Ice happened.

Just came back from a bad laceration. New team missed most of preseason. Hopefully he just needs a few games. Hoping he gets it together soon.

I'm not saying I don't agree that I'd rather have Nelson in, but it does sound silly to say that only 4 games into the season!
- keaner17

Not really when you have better players getting benched before him. If you're putting your best team out there it should be with your best players. Bouchard has done absolutely nothing to warrant a pass over anyone.

Early thoughts from the game...

does anyone else's picture have an overly blue-ish tint on it?

Not just a 2nd line center... A legit great one... My god if he keeps this up for the season... 70 point guy easily. i don't wanna get ahead of myself tho. Didn't he have three assists the other night?

Any wonder JT can't get in any groove, different line mates every night....he needs some PP goals to get going.

How in the f**k does Stafford walk out from behind the net like that without being touched? It's time to attach the man-sized testicles....
