What are you talking about, man? Nobody in the entire NHL can help us, other than Stamkos and Ovechkin!
- AllInForFlyers

If you think that is what's being said, then you clearly don't understand what is being said. Or why the Flyers are having issues scoring.

G needs another star to get him going. He cant carry a team by himself but with another top tier player I can see G doing well. If G wanted to get paid like a top tier guy he needs to act like on as well.
- bigmookalookie

I hear buf fans all the time wanting a player like hartnell on their team. I'd move hartnell talbot and a pick for vanek

This really has zero relevance to the Flyers, because I have problems with analogies (and stats and facts and links and quotes) if they don't suit my purpose.

I didnt watch. Was in and out of listening to it. Holmgren need to be removed prior to the next shakeup of this team. Hand Hexy the reigns and see what he can do.

No way! Hopefully Holmgren has a few Pavel Kubina trades up his sleeve before he gets axed.

Exactly, they played not to lose, instead of playing to win. They were too conservative, and tried to just hang on. Instead of continuing to get the puck deep and answering back to the Canucks push. They lack confidence overall as a team, and it showed in the 3rd period. They have a fragile psyche as a team.
- MJL

On the radio they interviewed Giroux b/w the 2nd and 3rd period and he just sounded different. He said we are going to "come out and win this game" almost like he was trying to tell himself that bc hes not sure if he believed it. Very strange choice of words in the interview

I never thought Giroux was on that level. But he was definitely on the next tier down. I don't know what the issue is right now with his play. But the last two previous Seasons, he's scored 141 points in 125 games. Did he all of a sudden forget how to play?
- MJL

No he didn't forget how to play. Maybe he just plain and simply had a career year. Like briere scoring 94 points for buf one year or cheechoo scoring 50 goals or heatly tearing it up for a couple seasons. I won't dismiss g until he has a true scoring winger. Now if we get one and he continues to perform like he has than ut-oh were in deep trouble with him and that contract

Yeah, they're definitely lacking confidence right now, and its showing in the offensive zone. My hopes are that once they win 2 in a row, they regain their confidence and can get on a roll. One hot streak of 8-0-2 or 7-1-2 and theyre right in the middle of things again.

It just doesnt matter though right?

Remember Bill Murray in Meatballs?

It just doesnt matter!
It just doesnt matter!
It just doesnt matter!

Nothing matters, it will always look like a 3rd grader glued this team together as long as Snider is here

I think Giroux is going to be fine. And I think this team is going to come out of it. But somebody other then Tye McGinn has to step up and light a spark and set the tone.
I didn't see enough will to win in the 3rd period. I didn't see a refuse to be stopped effort during the 3rd period PP that they had.

I thought Hartnell had a NMC. I could be wrong but trading Simmer would be just as good.

Horrific, and will make me want to pull out my pubes.

Inconsistent, poopty in his own end and overpaid.

Please for (frank)s sake no!

- flyer_nutter

Totally disagree. He's actually improved d wise last few years seven playing some on pk. Also consistently in top leaders in goals pp included on a crap team with crap centers. He'd be a beast with g IMO.

Hey hey now, Kubina looked like he was a good hockey player. He was a very good observer, you can never have enough observers

Other then maybe a few seconds at the end of a PK, to try and take advantage of the situation, Vanek doesn't play on the PK. He'd be a nice player to add. But he's not the solution to this team's issues.

Vanek is a rental almost certain to leave Buffalo. I think his trade value is somewhat lower than people think.
