Underrated play by Grossmann on the McGinn goal. Made sure he got the shot on net and kept it low so Luongo couldn't freeze it. Got the bounce he wanted and McGinn made it count.

Flyers miss out on a lot of those chances by missing the net on wide angle shots off the rush, and essentially clearing the puck themselves when they do it. Good to see them finally make a smart play in that situation.

Yep, and McGinn took advantage of the fortunate bounce out into the slot, and was rewarded for skating hard to the net.

I don't mind the way we're playing in the offensive zone .... it's the monumental effort required to just clear the puck in our own zone that worries me.

they could avoid that by making a better 1st pass or being smarter with the puck. one play that stuck in my head was kimmo had control of the puck and time and skates behind the net, he had out options and a pass but instead gets caught and throws the puck up the boards to no one. then the top line is pinned in our end for most their shift. all avoidable with a quick smart play when we have the puck

I see what you did there...

That sheepish look on Kesler's face was priceless.

I couldn't believe he had the energy to smile, he was working so hard before that puck came to him!

I noticed that play also. Bad decision by Timonen there. Mark Streit had a solid period and made a number of excellent puck moving plays.

I think the breakout has been better. It seems the players are smarter with the puck

Is it me or are there a pretty good amount of seats empty? Noticed the same thing during their last home game.

Don't worry if the Flyers start turning it around they will fill up again. *whispers* If you win they will come.

This doesn't really have anything to do with what we were talking about, I just wanted more background about this test and what it is trying to predict.

Well, I would say McGinn is making it very interesting. Who goes down when Hartnell and Vinnie come back? And where does he fit?

Does anyone see a little bit of why I wouldn't mind trading Hartnell and keeping McGinn in the lineup?

Well I guess McGinn doesn't want to go back to the phantoms, eh?
