It all depends on how the game goes really... If the goalies continue to play the way they have been playing, I want the Oilers to get destroyed. I want the players to be like "(frank) this sh1t" and just give up 50-60 shots... If the goalies actually decide to move (and try) I'll support the Oilers. I don't care if we lose... As long as our players are trying.

So if our goalies are going to suck, instead of losing 6-2, I want to lose 20-2, also because it'll probably get more of a response from MacT.

i think you guys are severely underestimating mcdonagh...kid is on ekman-larsson's level only signed to a long term deal worth almost $1 million less per year.

there's no chance the rangers trade mcdonagh for yakupov who can't get into the lineup and who may be a brendl or semin or radulov or AO for all we know. if he gets traded it will be for a team who needs offense but that has defense to spare. st. louis has been a trading partner in the past so why not again?

i can't believe eakins benched Yak against AO. if anything would get a young russian up for a game, it would be playing against a guy like that. There has to be some off the ice stuff that hasn't surfaced. This is a message plain and simple rather than him being a whipping boy. That's what the 3rd and 4th liners are for. Something else is going on.

Also, what's with his hair? Hey Dallas, the 70's called and want their hair back.

Defensive coverage and bad goaltending are what this team suffers. You know that "aggresive" swarm defense that this team currently employs? Yeah, it's (frank)ing them. Hard. The things that makes this system work are; A.) the ability to win the majority of board battles and B.) the ability for the goaltender to bail out his teammates when they lose a board battle.

Surprisingly, this team is doing quite well along the boards considering their size. The issue falls on the fact that every time our team loses a battle along the boards, the opposition is converting on it because our goalies just aren't up to speed. Because of this, one of three things has to happen; A.) the defensive system needs to be revamped entirely (including the firing of a certain someone [Steve Smith]), B.) management makes a trade for an established and performing goalie to shoulder the load or C.) the team attempts to wait out whatever may be ailing their goaltenders in hopes that they can regain their form (not entirely unreasonable, but risky). As of now, it seems like they've chosen option C while exploring option B.

Make it McD, Kreider, and a 3rd for Hall, Smid, and a 2nd (maybe a 1st?)

How does that sound? I understand if you don't wanna get rid of both young guys like that.

This is just for the sake of conversation. Trust me! The last guy I consider trading is Hall, but McDonagh certainly makes it a possibility in my mind.

Nope. It's gotta be McDonagh coming back in any trade for Hall.
