NJ Doesn't need a new gm but I like the idea of having another gm come in to give second opinions kind of like what Burke is doing in Calgary because Lou is just to loyal to guys that are to damn old to be playing. We could use Gelinas and Merril since both have great transition games unlike Salvador, Volchenkov and Zid does nothing but turn the puck over. I think the transition game is a big part to our forwards only getting 20-23 shots a night because they are never getting out of their end clean if that could change our forwards would be able to generate better quality chances.

Tallinder could really help you guys get over the hump...

So why didn't they

If u are going to take the same guy 2 picks later the pick is hardly worth more

- Bieksa#3

I believe they were giving up PRV as well not that he's done that much and something else. But I don't care (frank) the canucks

Sticks and stones (pucks) break bones, you know the story.

Ps just farted in my dogs face, he was not impressed.

- Yeti1181

That fart represents 3x the average effort Dubnyk has exhibited so far this year.

Ebs and a 1st?

And Hall was great last yr, but average at best this yr. I'm sure the early position switch didn't help though.

Yeah, the move to center (frank)ed him up... He'll be back to normal again... You could see a difference last game.

Boo friggin hoo. Writing a blog like this and you have the nerve to say that Eakins has a flair for the dramatic? Please.

I think Dallas Eakins is working on getting himself fired by xmas. It is not easy trying to play head games with millionaires. He may be right but is going to find out the hard way that these are not kids, they are already where they want to be.

Wow Ryan Gartner, you're a total fool. Have you been watching the Oilers? or just writing silly blogs based on your most favoritest Oilerboyz?

Ryan Jones played himself off of the team with his half hearted play.
Nail Yakupov has hogged the puck more than a 9yr old playing on a pond with 7yr olds and has killed almost every rush he is involved in. Hell, he was even quoted as saying that he doesn't like to skate without the puck or hit without the puck...he only gets excited when he has the puck. VERY benchable and sittable attitudes. (at least you seem to kind of understand that Yak will be better off in the long run.

Smyth is playing great.
Acton, Gadzic, and Brown are doing more than a 4th line is asked to do.

What on earth is wrong with you? I think I disagree with 110% of what you wrote. Very disheartening when a hockey blogger for my own team has so little knowledge of the sport and/or the team I follow.

Like Dubnyk, hopefully this gives the starting job to the other guy.

Dreadful.

EDIT: P.S. Fruit, Veggies, protein bars are what that big boys eat. Put down your doughnut.

Yaks and a second to Toronto for Gardiner, Reimer and a 1st. Yaks can team up with Kessel and our #1 center, Mr Bozak. Leafs get another sniper who can't play in his zone and a 2nd round pick and the Oilers get a decent D, a back up G and another 1st round pick.

The only trade I could see working for Toronto and Edmonton would be:

Phaneuf + Reimer + ???

for

Yakupov + ??

Probably also include Gardiner on the Leafs side, as Eakins loves him.. No idea what you'd have to add on Edmonton's side to even it out, probably Hemsky min to balance salary, but beyond that, no clue.
