It's a terrible contract because of the new CBA, if it weren't for the cap recapture it wouldn't be that big of a deal, he a bad lockout shortened season

Nah, I think any time you sign a guy heading in his 30s to a 10+ year deal it's going to end terribly no matter what the CBA.

Re - cap recapture, I feel like the owners probably should have known Bettman would get his revenge after leaving that loophole open.

Hey that's what I'm doing in fantasy this year, avoided Flames at all costs. Did end up with Gio after waiting too long to draft d-men and that's paying off so far but he's one of the only ones I would be willing to use long term.

this one league im in is a point league and the commissioner accidentally turned on faceoffs so guys like hanzal and vermette and brian boyle and any other crappy center that's really good at faceoffs are practically leading the league in fantasy points over guys like crosby and stamkos

I'm in a ridiculous league that uses Faceoffs, Hits and blocks. It makes taking players more complicated, let's just say.

my advice is keep him until mid-november. i really think the rangers will have it figured out by then. if he's still not doing anything, drop him...but he can be a real sleeper for the final 60 games of the year.
