Cam Talbot looked really good in camp and in preseason. I think thats a good move. Biron is too old, doesn't have that drive to impress. Talbot can come in and be really excited to play, and play well.
Asham, I don't get. I just don't get it. Asham is a GOOD player. He's quick, has a underrated shot, hits. So far, he has been far better than Dorsett. Asham also matches up much better against bigger fighters, he has more fighting skill than Dorsett. Plus he only has a 1M cap hit. I would have waived Pyatt and Dorsett before Asham. But I guess its also age, Dorsett is much younger.
Hey Weed, this could be the move you were looking for. I'm thinking Kristo, Hrivik, Kreider, Miller could all be getting a chance now. Maybe McIlrath as the 7th? - xcheckmajor
since pyatt and asham's cap hits are both over 1 mil, they save the same amount of money (925k) so waiving pyatt does NOT save more cap space than waiving asham. |

Wow, Talbot is 20-1 at Hartford? He should at least be ready for backup duty with those numbers. They may as well see if he's future backup material and bring him up for a month. It can't be any worse. As for the lineup, it's safe to say its probably the worst in the league right now. |

I don't like waiving of Asham, would have rather waived Pyatt. This team gets easier and easier to play against by the day. - pcjr307
Its called AV syndrome |

#NYR have placed Rick Nash on injured reserve. Frees up extra roster spot for them to add two forwards and Talbot if they want |

av said he wants to add more skill to the lineup which is why he waived asham. i'd expect 2 of the kids to be called up and playing in washington. |

Call up Miller, Kreider and Talbot. Scratch Pyatt and roll something to the affect of this...
Richards Brassard Callahan
Kreider Stepan Zuccs
Pouliot Boyle Miller
Fast Moore Dorsett.

It's early, but it just feels like on of those years. Problems everywhere. Right now, there isn't one solid aspect of their game that they can build on, and it just seems like chaos right now.
I think we all have to be very worried about Nash. You get a couple of concussions, and all of a sudden the next ones start coming alot easier. I don't think he will be back for quite a while, but I hope I'm wrong.

i don't think he has a choice at this point. boyle and pyatt played on the top 2 lines is disgraceful. |

See David Booth and Higgins
Edit: AV had Pyatt in our top 6.
Just remember this, losing AVs way is better then winning |

Their is an open spot on the roster right now. Plus Fast is actually playing so unless they call up Mashinter, he'll be playing a rookie. |

Me. And Gaborik would shine under AV. He is great with pure finesse players. Actually, given how AVs system loves active defense, I'm shocked at how bad MDZ has been |
